Thanks to Tony K.: Awesome show!!! I got a pick from Duff & Dave & a $5 Velvet Revolver chip from the Hard Rock.

Nobody mentioned that Anna Nicole Smith was flashing the crowd from the balcony before the show.

Can't wait to see 'em in Anaheim in April.

Thanks to Mel: The show rocked. It was well worth the multiple G's for the hotel, air and concert tix not to mention all the money lost at the HRH! I have a pick and chip to commemorate the event.

Thank you to Scott, Matt, Duff, Slash and Dave. It was a hell of a show (both nights). I have to say the memories made I will pass on to my kids (one day)! Can't wait to see your next show.

Thanks to Amy Vala: Omg New Years Eve sucked royal ass! I was so disappointed when I left the show. All the chairs were zip tied together and it was nothing of what I expected- having seen them at VOODOO in New Orleans right in front- there was no thrashing no crowd involvement. I left the New Years Eve bash in awe as to how the sound kept ringing in the speakers like they were testing the mics or something. Not to mention all the idiots who dressed up. I mean the whole prom look and all. Not to mention the 80's bimbos who came out from under the hairspray - just the smell of the Aussie hairspray and glittering dresses made we want to throw up all over - losing faith I headed back to my room to shower and change and wait for the after party. Came in right behind Slash and his ontourage...thought he was quite short- the guards wanted to frisk me and my husband for we were just wearing jeans and hoodie sweatshirts. Gave us the nod and we were off - he met up after his Moe show. Not a Velvet Revolver fan. Go figure. But after a couple drinks we left after getting tired of watching all the dry humping going on on the dance floor. Disappointed no Scott seeing. Just as my faith was slipping the New year started. No zip tie chairs- no chairs at all. Rock on I made it to the front and was the only one who had true dancing hypnotic groove going on. I saw Anna Nicole and her boobs as she flashed the crowd unknowingly and being opinionated I yelled at her not knowing it was her to get a fucking life. If you haven't seen Anna Nicole's boobs by now - you were just born. But anyways - having gone to STP concerts all the time and just being there in the front of this musical eclipse on the first day of the year renewed my soul from trecherous years of before. It was the most awesome experience in comparison to child birth. I felt like I was holding a new born after this show- but in shock it was a guitar pick that I luckily caught before the nights ends. I wish everyone was as loud as me - I in my green hat and my dancing days. Rock on Velvet Revolver and come to Springfield, Illinois and play on our 40 acres... what a festival that would be. I can dream and if I never hear Surrender again - it will be all right- 26 and still rockin in the mini van with the kids.

Thanks to In Utero: The show was great, I can't think of a better way to start the New Year. The sound was good the band was tight. I've seen many many Velvet Revolver shows and I have not seen a bad one yet. The songs sound so good "live" and the crowd responds with so much enthusiasm these days.

I was able to get some pictures of Duff and Susan playing the tables in the Hard Rock Hotel Casino and a few of the show and and some of the die hard Velvet Revolver fans.

Thank You Velvet Revolver and crew for making my New Year.

Thanks to RigaTone: The band's performance well surpassed the first time I saw Velvet Revolver in SF. Back then I was left after the show incoherently ecstatic. This time in Vegas I was only slightly disappointed by Sex Type Thing, which I thought they mailed-in a bit. They seemed to cut out the hard-chord and vocal return from the middle musical bridge. Perhaps they did this in favor of including the two new numbers, which more than compensated. "DLT" blisters and "You Got No Right" might be Scott's best vocal display since "Interstate Love Song". Thank you so much Velvet Revolver!...

Thanks to montebello_goon: Where do I begin? I don't think words can no longer describe the feeling of attending one of Velvet RevolverS shows. I saw them in Vegas there first time through (6/04) and was hooked. I was the first person in line at their free show in Los Angeles at the empty parking lot on Selma and Ivar where I waited five and a half hours to watch them perform. The day after that I woke up 3:00 am to wait in line to attend the taping of the Tonight Show where their performance of Fall To Pieces left me thinking, "that's it they can't do no better!". I spent an arm and a leg to attend their show at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Xmas in Los Angeles, where I feel they stole the show which consisted of 10 other "hot" bands. The following day I attended their performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and was glad my sister was able to experience Velvet Revolver with me.

But their New Years Day show at the Joint at the Hard Rock in Vegas is by far the most fuckin baddest shit I have ever seen!!! At the show I talked with people from New Jersey, New York, Atlanta even Canada, and they all said the same thing, "This is the best concert I have ever been to!" And they were fuckin right!!! As always, Sucker Train Blues is the perfect way to begin the show, setting the mood, but it was their later performances that really stood out for me. Of course Fall TO Pieces, was awsome, but to finally hear them perform You Got No Right, Used to Love Her and Surrender was just over the top.

Instrumentally they rocked, but Scott's voice just takes it to another level. The feeling, the vibe comming off the crowd as they sang along was spine tingling.

My heart goes out to people who where unable to attend, like my friends! Sure they bought tickets, but they decided to get wasted before the show and missed it because they where to busy praying to the porcelain god, this means you Selene!!! Also people, don't leave the show early for some girl, especially if your not gonna get any action, Angel!!! That's on them cus I was able to watch the show with the love of my life Lizet, and my friend Juan, with his girl Ingred.

People, attend Velvet Revolvers shows. Take your friends, your family. Share the moments and the times. Remember the music, remember the sights, remember the expeience.

Thanks to JB: I was lucky enough to see these guys both on New Year's Eve and on New Year's Day and I have to say it was incredible! The New Year's eve show was cool, bringing in the New Year's with the boys but New Year's Day, there was something special in the air. All of the guys seemed into it that much more. Slash was on fire!! When they got into Dirty Little Thing it was a great surprise. The best part of the night for me was You Got No Right. I loved that song on the album and that solo single handedly got me to pick my axe up again and to see it played live, I just lost it. This was my fourth time seeing these guys and if you do get the opportunity, I say take it. There has been something missing from music for a long long time and these guys fill the void for me. I don't know what else to say except that I am so glad that there is some real rock n roll coming around again. The world needs this shit! Peace

Thanks to Heather: What a show. Saw Velvet Revolver at the Warfield in SF before Contraband was released and thought it was the best show I've ever seen. I didn't think it possible, but this show was even better. Their energy was fantastic, the crowd was totally into it, the venue was small and pumped up. Perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. And (despite hearing Slash was tanked on NYE), the guys sounded and looked great.

Thanks to Michelle: This was my 3rd Velvet Revolver show, best ever. My husband and I were about 4 rows of people back. It was awesome. The crowd was great being so close and I didn't get squashed. They sounded great and I didn't realize how loud it was until we left and my ears rang all night. Scott is a great performer and his vocals were really strong on "You Got No Right". I can't say enough, it was awesome.

Thanks to Eric: Having attended both shows in Vegas and seen the band 3 other times in venues as varied as the Atlantic City show outdoors, Roseland in NY, + the big Wachovia Center in Phili. I can honestly say that the group could not have been better (and maybe never will be better than Saturday nite in Vegas on 01/01). They sounded great, played an extended set (adding Dirty Little Thing and an awesome version of You Got No Right - which the whole audience sang along with to the whole bands utter shock) the crowd was into every song to the 10th degre, and Scott was at his best-never ever standing still and gyrating all over the place, I've seen STP 10x and his antics were equal with his best shows ever. The show was a 10.

Thanks to Anonymous: Great show last night, although the sound was not the greatest. Some feedback and problems with hearing the words to the songs. Heard from one of the roadies that the new soundguy's not so great. Anna Nicole Smith was in the audience, flashing her twins and also at the afterparty (at which the band was a no-show) at the Aladdin. Great sets, though. Would love to see them somewhere bigger than in the Hard Rock.

Thanks to Victor: This show rocked!!! Slash even said it was way better than the New Year's Eve show. The band hit the stage at 9:15... went right into Sucker Train Blues. Then came Do it for the Kids, Headspace, Superhuman, Crackerman, and they played Dirty Little Thing for the first time live.

They played Fall to Pieces and Illegal I, It's So Easy, Sex Type Thing. But the highlights were the encores. The first encore was Used to Love Her, You Got No Right and Surrender. The second encore was Mr. Brownstone then Slither. The energy of the crowd was amazing and the band seemed really into it!!!

Best show I've ever seen and I've seen a couple great ones at my ripe young age of 23. Guns N' Roses twice (New GN'R minus Slash), Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Jane's Addiction. This one tops them all.
