Thanks to Cassie Rowe: Hey man, how you all doin? OH MY GOD!!!!!! It was so great man. Velvet Revolver rocked my jocks right off. What a great fucking night ay? I wouldn't of had it any other way. This is like my 6th or 7th review or whatever just to tell you guys how much Velvet Revolver rocked my jocks man! I took my mum to this gig and it was so cool. My mum & I got into town about 11:00am or something like that. It was exciting, but it became annoying when we spent a few hours searching for Thebby though, we ended up getting there at 1:00, but better late than never. Man, the line up was really cool, it felt like a little family... well, I betta get to the point now, shouldn't I. Yeah I should.

I was front row centre, it was so great man. I blew a kiss to Matt Sorum and told him that I love him, he smiled at me & stuff... Cheeky beast! I blew a kiss to Scott too & after the "Do It For The Kids", he said while pointing at me, "And what are you thinking of tonight little girl?" Well, at that point I'm not sure what I was thinking. I was thinking of not getting crushed up against the gate, but it's a concert. Mum blew a kiss to Slash and Duff, it was so cool, they both smiled at her. Way back in the day, she knew these dudes, she had spoke to Slash on the phone from Melbourne. Back then they called her Rusty! But now she's just mum. Well, yeah, about Velvet Revolver.

About a few songs later, I seen Matt jumping over his drumkit and walking right towards me. WOW!!!!!! I couldn't believe it, still to this day. Well I looked up & smiled & he lent over & handed me his very own drumstick he used for the most of the night. He was kinda fighting against the crowd just to hand it to me. People were trying to grab it & he kept nudging it away from them. I spent a moment or 2 staring into his eyes. (sigh) All of a sudden, I had a hold of it & then some dickhead grabbed it! My mum & I were wrestling for it & everyone was yellin at him telling him to let it go & stuff. What a cunt, he ruined my moment. Oh well, I got it in the end, he also got Matt's other drumstick, so that was cool for him. We ended up making up, he apologized and we both tapped our drumsticks together & both agreed that it was the best night of our life! Thanks Matt, that thing is dying with me!!

At that time the atmosphere was so dilirious that it didn't hit me until the day after or perhaps when the gig was finished. Man... I was so tired. I've been to other gigs, but that was the only one that made me wanna just have a shower and go to bed. The next morning man, I was so tired and sore. To this day, I still can't find a good place for the drumstick. I kinda have a little shrine and the things got plastic wrapped round it so no bastard can touch it!

Well, just in case one of the dudes reads this... I love what you guys do and Scott I'm so proud of you. As well as the other guys too. It's good to finally have this band on track! Stick together man, you guys have done well and deserve every inch of success that comes your way. Best hopes and dreams for the future of Velvet Revolver. And yes, I am 'Rusty's' daughter. How cool my mom spoke to Slash and Duff.. I believe you also had some connection with her too.

Thanks to Bradley Cronk: This was the first real ROCK concert I've been to ...and it won't be my last!

When I pulled up at Thebby Town Hall the street was f****n packed with hundreds of people waiting to get in. There were a few guys pressed against the doors wearing Guns N Roses concert shirts from when G'N'R toured Oz in the 90's, the thing was they weren't there to see Guns N Roses they were there to see Velvet Revolver!!!

When the doors finally opened the place was a freakin buzz. The mosh pit was f****n packed I had the best view of it because I was in a seat (but I won't be next time)

The Screaming Jets one of Australias pubbish styled rock bands were the supporting act and they were impressive they were an awesome band to get things started.

About 40 Minutes later....

Scott appeared with his video camera on stage in complete darkness. Every one got the FU*K up and rushed to the front they knew things were gonna get started soon.

When things got started the place went crazy! Duff was standing in the middle of the stage as the lights flickered and he started playing Sucker Train Blues. As I said the place went off.

AND IT DID FOR THE REST OFF THE NIGHT WITH THREE ENCORES!! My ears hurt.

Thanks to Peter S: Man what a fucking awesome show. It's taken 6 months for me to write this coz my friends told me to stop rubbing it in that I saw them and for me to actually calm down. They were fucking fucking awesome I've seen heaps of big bands. Korn, SOAD, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, NIN, Green Day, The Offspring, Hole, I even saw GNR back in the day in Melbourne.

But this was by far the best concert I have ever seen in my life and I couldn't believe the energy these guys brought with them they rocked. It was fucking loud as my ears rang for 3 and 1/2 days I kid you not it was fucking loud and fucking just brilliant. Slash has still got it his axe skills are just fucking awesome the rest of the band were just as entertaining. It was great I really hope they come back I will go for sure and I will buy all my mates tickets coz I know they don't want to miss out next time or I'll kill em hehehehehehehehehehe

Cheers to a great show

Thanks to Tracy: WOW!! They certainly still rock, it was like being back in the early nineties and that's not a bad thing!! My ears were ringing for days after the show, the music was tight and loud. Scott was the combination of Iggy and Bowie and can certainly worked it for the crowd, that, which he did so well. We absolutely loved it, a genuine frontman performer. It would be fanatastic if the guys could get a spot on the Big Day Out, they deserve it, and are very much worthy of it. We had an awesome time. Thanks for the tix Anthony/Slash and letting us into your world for that short time, had an absolute fucking blast!!! Come Back sometime, Big day Out, Big Day Out!!

Thanks to Grant: The show was really great, most of the time I was about 3 rows back!! They are all excellent musicians as well and don't just play to be cool (which they are), they sound very powerful and this really shows. They have a kick ass sound and full marks for that, that was great!

Thanks to Adrian: Man what a fuckin show, The Thebby was a great place to hold the show. It's not one of those big arena's it's kinda small but all the people in their fuckin made the concert go off. The Screaming Jets were awesome and really set the crowd up for a good show. But as soon as Velvet Revolver hit the stage the crowd went wild. Sucker Train Blues just set the evening with the pumping bass line and the thumping bass drums it was great.

The setlist was the same as the rest of the tour. I was a bit pissed that they didn't play Mr. Brownstone. But Used To Love Her was a great GNR cover.

I can't wait to see those guys again I hope they fuckin come back soon.

Thanks to Dstructo: Velvet Revolver kick ass! I loved the band and their songs, I think they're an awesome combonation. Definitly worth going too even if you don't know the songs. Slash will help you out with his wicked solo's. Highlights Set me Free, Fall to Pieces and It's So Easy.

Thanks to Holly: Velvet Revolver was fucking awesome. Sucker Train Blue's was an awesome opener! As soon as they came on I had to push myself away from the 2 slightly larger people I was squashed between :P

My sister took some awesome photos, the best was probably of Duff when he was right in front of us (we were on the left). We took some pretty cool ones of Slash and Scott too.

We threw roses onto the stage for each of the band members when they first came on, but Duff was the only one to pick his up. I think most of them fell into the gap between the stage and the speakers.

I had such a fucking awesome time, that it hardly feels real. And to make it even better, the next day we hung out at the airport and got to meet and have photos with them all (apart from Matt). When I get those developed, I will surely send them in.

Thanks to Andy: Holy shit, Velvet Revolver rocked Thebie Theater. And I don't mean ohh yeah they rocked. I mean oHHHH YEAH THEY FUKIN ROCKED. I've been a huge fan since I heard about Velvet Revolver when it was just called "The Project" and when the album was released I was more then impressed, but the live show outdoes thier record. It seriously does, they have gotta release a dvd NOW.

The vibe, the atmosphere, everything was there. I loved the fact that they chose to play You Got No Right, the solo in that song is simply signature Slash and it was good to see that they didn't shy away from the GNR and STP days with both Crackerman, Sex Type Thing, It's So Easy and Used To Love Her.

I am already countin down the days to the next Australian tour, hopefully maybe a spot in our Big Day Out in 2006 is in line? Now that would kick arse, and so will a new album, it'll rock harder the Contraband, I bet ya, cause things can only go up from here.

Seriously I have seen Metallica, RHCP, ACDC, Megadeth, the Darkness, kiss all live and Velvet Revolver are firmly entrentched in 2nd position behind the almighty ACDC, but for a band with so much arsenal up their sleeve, I reckon it'll only take another year for them to take over AC/DC in my books.

Velvet Revolver 4 LIFE.

Thanks to Terry Newman: Velvet Revolver rock. They played the same setlist as the rest of the country except for one, Mr Brownstone. I was lucky to meet the guys which was a dream for me. The show was pure rock and roll from start to finish. You can see how professional these guys are. I can't wait for their new album so they can tour again. For anybody who is reading this and didn't go to the show, you f**cked up. Don't miss them next time round. R n F n R.

Thanks to Claire Hamilton: This was the best concert I have ever seen! Scott is just bloody outstanding....the band was tight and they rocked! I'd say that every song that was played sounded absolutely perfect!!!!! I'd see it a million times and love it as much!!! The crowd was just warped by Scott's presence, but the whole band put on one hell of a show! Well done guys...can't wait to see you back in OZ!

Thanks to Gazza: Velvet Revolver was fucking wicked.

The entire show was fucking rocking. A great venue only a metre or so from the band!!! I scored the set list and Kushner's pick. Mr. Brownstone was on it but they definitely didn't play it, I think it might have been a cover they played instead? The sound quality was a bit dodge at times, Slash's Dirty Little Thing solo was hard to hear along with what Scott was saying between songs at times, but it was LOUD AS FUCK UP FRONT. After the show hanging around in the car park with patience Slash emerged from the doors with 2 packs of ciggies in hand and I along with a few others scored his autograph and a photo. WHAT A ROCK LEGEND. When I get my photos tommorow I'll send them in. =)

After reading a few other peoples reviews they did do the You Could Be Mine intro before Slither. However I can remember they actually played the You Could Be Mine riff for a short while but then went into Slither.

Thanks to Mark and Ben: What an awesome show!!! The move to the Thebby Theatre was the best thing that could have happened - rock god front man Scott appeared with a flash with the riff to Sucker Train Blues grinding the crowd to within arms reach of Slash and Duff with Dave keepin the pace in his own mellow but frantic way and of course Matt pounding those skins with the beat straight through the chest.

It was like I woke up and it was 1987!!! These guys look and performed like 20 year olds not late 30's!!!

A row back and after 10 songs the crowd finally allowed a breath for the start of Fall To Pieces where full voice was thrown - unbelievable!! Just when we couldn't take any more, a few songs later the top hat came out for the start of Used To Love Her then wrapped it up with an absolutely pounding performance of Slither - Slash's solo was mint!!!

Scott's vocals were sensational - although the PA drowned him a touch - he is an awesome frontman. Slash is an absolute genius does not give an inch - so tight!!! Duff what a legend - worked the crowd added some vocals and played right hand man most of the night. Matt gave some cheeky interaction with the crowd and kept the rhythm tight - I like his work better live!!! The big surprise packet was Dave Kushner - he is almost as tight as Slash, if let loose he could really carve it up - and he did for a bit!! Great to see Scott on the Gatorades too - he's looking healthy.

It was like listening to the album in a vice out in the rain - it went off and we'll be going to see the next show for sure. Bring on a live DVD so I don't have to wait.

Thanks to James: Oh baby. It's no more than an hour since I was at the show and I'll be a while coming down. It was the normal setlist (no Brownstone as I recall) but the biggest treat for a massive STP fan was the guys doing an extended Sex Type Thing with Scott talking to the crowd and conducting a bit of monologue.

"You are the saviour of rock.........we just bring the gear"

It was a tight show as you'd expect with the usual encores. They rocked hard and put on a top show which considering we're starved of big acts in Oz is all we can ask for.
