Thanks to Kelsey: I went to the Boise Idaho concert in the Taco Bell Arena and that was the best concert I ever witnessed in my life. Slash and Duff and Scott and Dave and Izzy or whatever the hell he goes by now rocked up Boise and they deserve a lot of damn credit. Their age did show but it's all coming back, from the 80's to today but it will never die. And Scott did a great job performing and my favorites...Slash and Duff did a really good show...Slash made the show almost w/his double neck madness and whoever disagrees w/it like that 1 stupid guy who said everyone was to drunk to remember, well guess what dumbass, I remember it so don't you even dare talk shit about Velvet Revolver cuz they rock.

Thanks to Arryn: The show was awesome a little disappointing on the rush of the vip passes but completly understandable. PS I assure you that even though things were rushed the band did sign autographs

Thanks to Justine PreScott from the Culture Writer: Maybe it's just me, but I find the idea of a large-scale rock 'n' roll concert slightly absurd. It's so loud that all the music just kind of melts together into an undecipherable mess of white noise, half the audience is too drunk to remember it the next day, and no person who is idolized by that many people can be too mentally stable.

As I stood and watched Velvet Revolver from somewhere in the middle of the Taco Bell Arena, I couldn't help but be fascinated by the goings on. It seemed more like a circus than a musical performance. Lizard boy Scott Weiland was in usual form, with his Iggy Pop-like body contortions. As for the rest of the band, it was all too obvious that age was beginning to show.

All that aside, I think the band did exactly what they set out to do - rock. They got up on stage and ripped it up just like in the old days. They even threw in a few songs from their former bands (that's Stone Temple Pilots and Guns n' Roses for those who do not know) for nostalgia. The stage setup was complete with two live video screens and a giant flashing Velvet Revolver sign.

The band is comprised of nearly legendary people. You've got half of Guns n' Roses, who were responsible for a lot of quite memorable songs from the early nineties. Weiland's Stone Temple Pilots had a few hits themselves (though I think his heroin habit has become more legendary). These two bands were heavy hitters and now, as a mix, they have become a heavy hitter in their own right.

And the show went on. There was much cheering and ripping guitar solos. The audience knew why they were there, and the band knew why they were there, and somewhere between music and pure entertainment, they connected.

Thanks to Pete: No fluff, just hard biting R*R. Went to the show with my son and had the time of our lives. Sound was cloudy early on, but cleaned up real quick. We both dig on Contraband and couldn't wait to see these guys live. Each are incredible performers, but Scott is off the map. We're thinking about traveling to another city to catch a second show.

Thanks to max monahan: It blew my mind. I'm sooo happy there is a band out there like them. Scott is definitely better than Axl. I can't believe I saw my idols right in front of me. They are the best out there and to Slash, Duff and Matt thank god you guys are out there doing this. I am a huge GNR fan and I don't know what I would have done without that show, it was insane. They didn't need any special effects to make it a kickin show. They are insane performers. And should be getting more credit for bringing back rock and F'in roll!

Thanks to Jeff: When we came into the soundcheck Duff told us that they were going to play a couple of their songs from Contraband and then they had to work on a new song for a movie. He said that they found out about it on Thursday and it had to be done by Tuesday. We could hear the music from the waiting room, but it wasn't real clear. From what I could tell, the song was in the Slither vein, a harder rock tune. That's all I know.

Thanks to Rick: Me and the girlfriends daughter just got home...they kicked ass!! If you get a chance to see them, do it! We were on the floor right in the very front, the vocals didn't come through good, but that's okay if you already know the lyrics. Killer show...A++
