Thanks to Nick: This was my first concert and I can say I was amazed with the performance. Slash was amazing, he shredded through all of his solos and Scott was did an awesome job also.

Thanks to Emily: I am mostly an STP fan (and definitely a huge fan of Scott's) but I love Velvet Revolver as well and through Velvet Revolver have really grown to appreciate GnR. The show was particularily amazing for me in that during Sex Type Thing, Scott came up and stood in our row 3 seats away from me! I was shaking so hard, but I got a picture of him on my phone. There I was in my No. 4 era STP shirt while he growled "Here I Come, I Come, I Come" from a classic STP song, literally 5 feet from me. This was one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me. A friend of mine who was sitting on the other side of the arena said she could see me in the spotlight. Anyway, that was my experience and I had to share with people who can truly understand what it meant to me!

Thanks to Kyle: It was an awesome experience to get to see these guys live. The set list was awesome, the only song I wish they played was "Loving The Alien". I have to complain about Magness though, the sound was terrible, especially in the beginning of the show. It was not very full at all either. I wish they had played at a different venue, the acoustics in there are terrible and it is extremely hard to distinguish the instruments. The sound did get a little better as the show went on though. "Wish You Were Here" was awesome as well as the GNR tunes. Scott looked great and puts on an awesome stage show. "Fall To Pieces" was awesome. Overall I was disappointed in the arena and the sound system, terrible place to see a concert but I am glad I finally got to see Slash and Duff rockin out together. I hope they come back to Colorado soon.

Thanks to media310: We got to Magness Arena around 8:45 and the opener had just finished playing. When I got to the venue I was shocked by the amount of empty seats. At least 1,000 empty seats. Our seats were bought thru the fan club months ago. When we got to our seats for some reason the speakers were blocking part of our stage view. They didn't lift the speakers like most shows. So the drummer was hidden from our view. Velvet Revolver took the stage around 9:30 and really killed it! The GA tickets were about half full on the floor. They opened with 2 of my favorite songs, there most popular shit and then I was wondering how they would follow that up... Well they rocked all night, they had 2 encores, one with Wish you were here by Pink Floyd and then played Mr. Brownstone by GNR, and I think they thru in a STP song also. Slash was even better then when I saw him with GNR in 89. Scott had so much energy it looked like he would collapse. I would suggest bringing ear plugs or something similar, most of the people that were with the band had them and all the old schoolers knew to bring them. My ears are still ringing today, 2 days after the show. After the show we were waiting for a cab and my lady starts yelling at me for no reason, needless to say I broke up with her when we got back to the hotel room and she told me she had fun at the concert but was not happy when we left. I was like WTF not happy after Velvet Revolver then the hell with you. I caught a taxi to DIA at about 5:00am and then a shuttle back to Avon. Oh well. Great show spread the word

They did mention the music scene here in Colorado and said word out on the streets is that Colorado is just a country music destination. Maybe that's why we have such a crappy music scene in this state! Everyone go see both Motley Crue shows. Keep rock alive. Email me if you have questions. I don't have a set list to drunk.

P.S. The screens on the side of the stage were really cool as well!

Thanks to whpprsnpprr: Ok just got back from the show and they rocked. It wasn't very full...maybe two thirds at the most. The sound mix was pretty bad...the same as the last time I saw them. It was really muddy and hard to distinguish any instruments. It improved a little as the show progressed. They played the standard set but didn't play "Used to Love Her." All in all I had a great time and can't wait to hear some new music!!

I forgot at one point Slash mentioned that Scott's mom lives on the outskirts of Denver! Interesting!

Thanks to Carey and Steph: It was a dream come true for us to see Duff and Slash tearin' it up on stage. Holy shit! We are both 20 years old and never thought that we would get the opportunity to see any Gunners from the days when hair was big on the Sunset, but we had our chance last night! I am still stoked from the great show. The show took place at Magness Arena, the home of DU's Men's Championship hockey team. I would guess that 2500-3500 people were in attendance.

Hoobastank did a decent job opening up. I'm not a fan of them, but enjoyed hearing some of their familiar songs live.

After an hour lull between the two bands Velvet Revolver took the stage by storm. I could see the orange glow of Slash's cigarette before the lights went up and when they did Duff ripped into Sucker Train Blues.

Velvet Revolver played to GN'R songs, It's So Easy and Mr. Brownstone. They were great.

Thank you Velvet Revolver for coming to Denver and good luck on the rest of the tour and writing that new album. We can't wait!

Rock on!

Thanks to Birgitt: The boys kicked ass just as they had done at all the shows I have been to. They stayed pretty consistant in the set list and gave us an additional Pink Floyd "Wish you were here". Scott is looking so great again and the sex like energy they all exude fills the arena. Where ever they tour this is definetly a show not to be missed.
