Thanks to Allie: They were fucking unbelievable. Slash is my idol and it was great.... when they come to town again you can bet your ass I will be there.

Thanks to Maggie McCreary: After spending hours bathing and grooming, Ma, Heather and myself arrived at the Chevrolet Amphitheatre. My Easter gift was the 5-Star Package from iloveallaccess.com. We went to a pre-show party by the theatre, where they served drinks and disgusting finger foods. We interacted and mingled with other obsessed Velvet Revolver fans however, they were all about ten or twenty years older than me. Oh well, they were all pretty awesome!!

At 7:00pm, Ma, Heather and I reserved our seats (well we were standing but you know what I mean) at the very front. The Chevrolet Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue. We were unable to get to the stage because of the pit, where the employees of the Amphitheatre watched over the fans. Even the pitt was guarded by a fence, which I was pushed up against. At 7:15, the doors opened to everyone and we got pretty crowded. During this time, I met this really awesome kid named John and another named Autumn (who said I looked like Jennifer Gray from Dirty Dancing whatever). They were both 16 and however both of them swore that I acted about their age. The thing about concerts is, you have something in common with everyone there. As I stared at the empty stage, my thoughts drifted to the show that I would soon be viewing.

After the local band and Hoobastank opened up for us, the fans realized how much MORE we wanted to see Velvet Revolver. Me and John and Autumn joked around with those who worked at the Amphitheatre. "Can you take us backstage please?" I asked one chick.

"I can't take you no where," She responded.

After 40 some minutes of anticipation and watching roadies do a sound check. Velvet Revolver came on stage.

Scott's hypnotic dancing entranced me; at that moment, there was no one else in the audience but him and me. He screamed the lyrics like this were the last show of his life into the microphone. Slash stayed mostly to one end of the stage (that opposite to the one I was at) but I was still able to recognize him. He was still the Slash from the Appetite era, with his leather pants and huge curly hair. Duff stayed to my side of the stage (yay! He's my favorite member of Velvet Revolver), with his soft blonde hair, his white bass guitar and his awesome Aerosmith shirt (that I MUST find). I wished he had taken off the shirt I so envied so I could see the sweat dripping from his beautiful muscular body. Dave, try as he may, could NEVER compare to my Izzy. However, he's still really talented and delivers a dedicated performance. Matt's loud drum beats echoed through the Amphitheatre, like thunder; the flashing lights were the lightning, combining with the band to create a perfect storm. It was simply amazing.

They started out with Sucker Train Blues. As I was pushed against the fence, I could feel slight pain from the pressure but the honor of being so close to my idols numbed me like Novacaine. Not to mention, I was preoccupied with belting out "Come on motherfuckers and deliver the cow!", taking pictures (as soon as I get to Dad's to download them, you'll all get some great pics), and screaming "I LOVE YOU Duff! FUCK ME!" every chance I saw the bassist. The energy of the show surrounded me like humidity in a Florida August. They followed that up with Do It For The Kids and Headspace.

The show was crazy. People from the back of the audience crowd surfed to the front. I had always wanted to do something like that. I decided against it. First off, I was sitting so close to the front that I wouldn't get anywhere. And secondly, right after they crowd surfed, the workers at the Amphitheatre picked them up and threw them out.

During Slash's extended guitar solo during Illegal i Song, the crowd behind me got very excited and pushed me against the fence harder and harder. Duff himself could have been pushing me and I would still have felt like the fence was going to cut through my like a piano wire. After the song was through, I asked John, who was standing beside me now, if he was getting crushed as bad as I was.

"Are you okay?" He asked, noticing my struggle to breathe.

"It's hard to breathe," I responded.

With that, he pushed the guy in back of me, freeing me from the pressure, and said "Hurry, breathe while you can,"

I took in all the sweet oxygen I could before John caved in under the pressure and had to let go.

Unfortunately, the next song they played was Fall To Pieces. The huge hit made the crowd go crazy and with their enthusiasm, I was pushed tighter and tighter against the fence. "If I was to suffocate at a Velvet Revolver concert, I would die an honorable death" I thought. But that that didn't comfort me. I tried to fight back but it was useless.

John could see my struggle. "Are you okay?" He asked again.

I breathed heavily, my lungs desperately grasping to any oxygen I could get. It felt like everyone in the audience had tied a rope around my rib cage and was pulling the rope tighter and tighter with each syllable Scott uttered. Ma and Heather were each about three people away from me, separated by the crowd. I couldn't breathe nor could I move. I thought I was going to suffocate but I couldn't let that happen.

Neither did John. He put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me to him, putting much more pressure and strain on him. I closed my eyes and inhaled heavily. The air tasted sweet on my tongue. As I regained the clarity that I had lost, I stood up. "You sure your fine?" John asked.

"I'm fine," I coughed and smiled. I tried to regain my spot, when I noticed, the guy who was pushing me before (who was about 20 years old) had taken it. "That's my spot!" I screamed outraged.

He shrugged. "What can I do?" He asked.

"You can fucking move!" I began to push against him, see how he liked it.

He continued to shrug and attempted to rock out. I was so pissed. He hadn't paid $150 to see Velvet Revolver, nor had he been obsessed for as long as me. I had gone insane from the lack of oxygen and the lack of justice.

I bitch slapped him about three times. I wasn't gonna let him get my spot. What justice was that? I come at four o' clock when the band I wanted to see was going to be there at nine, paid $150, and got crushed by that fat fuck so I could get kicked out of my spot and almost suffocate? No fucking way in hell.

Suddenly, the worker at the Amphitheater who had turned me down to go backstage was screaming something in my face. But between Scott's singing (I hadn't noticed what the song was, caught up trying to breathe) and the audience cheering, I didn't know what she was saying. At first, I was happy. She might back those people off and let me breathe again and bring me back to the spot I deserved.

She picked me up at my waist and proceeded to lift me over the fence. She was kicking me out lie had done to the crowd surfers.

"She me twice," The fag that took my space called.

You fucking suffocated me! I wanted to scream but I knew no one would hear me, nor would they want to.

When Ma saw me get pulled out of the audience, she started elbowing the guy next to her as hard as she could. They drug her pulled her over the fence and drug her by the arm into the cool Pittsburgh night.

"I was trying to defend my fuckin thirteen year old!" Ma proclaimed.

"You didn't start till we had her over the fence," The guy who pulled her said.

"I don't remember that,"

"I do,"

"I guess its your word against mine then,"

The bitch that picked me up intervened. "She hit that guy twice."

"He took my spot and almost fucking killed me. I could barely breathe." I defended myself.

"We told you it'd get rough," She tried to rationalize her stupid behavior. So if he had suffocated me, would she have just said "we warned her" and let me die? I wanted to ask. Stupid bitch. Anyway, she never warned me.

"I couldn't breathe," I reiterated. It was then I began to cry because I realized I wouldn't be able to get back in the Amphitheatre and see them again. I felt terrible. Was it just s'possed to suffocate and let that fuck take my place? But then, I got Ma and Heather kicked out cause I wasn't gonna take it. I could tell Ma was pissed too.

We left after Set Me Free ended and I continued to bawl all the way home for different reasons. I cried because I might never be able to see Velvet Revolver again. I cried because I might never get to thank John for saving me. I cried because I got Ma and Heather kicked out of the best concert (and the only concert) I ever went to. I cried because my rib cage was killing me.

Other than the pain and almost dying, the concert was great. The performance was amazing and I could never image a better show. I highly suggest attending if you can. Just don't get too close to the stage.

Thanks to Tyler Oehmler: This show kicked ass. I think that the sound wasn't that great. It could have been better. I'm glad that you guys played some Guns N Roses songs. Slash is an amazing guitar player. One of the best I've heard. You guys should come out with a tour video that would be soooo awesome.

Thanks to Rebecca: You guys totally kicked ASS!!!! I hope you come back to do another tour, I'll definately come and see you again.

Thanks to DEAN J AULT: I saw the guys last Wednesday night. I thought it was a fucking awesome show. Incredible. Scott is the best frontman in rock n roll (under 60) as he mentioned about Slash. I had just found out about a close friends death and that show really was exactly what I needed. When I was walking out - I had that just got laid feeling.

Thanks to Kayla Ruffner: Oh my god. That's the second time I've seen Velvet Revolver and now I love them even more than I did before. When they did Mr. Brownstone.. holy hell. And when Slash brought out the red double neck Gibson I thought I died. Hoobastank sucked, Modern Day Zero was pretty good but Velvet Revolver was fucking amazing. Enough said.

Thanks to Carter: The show was incredible. The only negative was they came on 20 minutes late. Illegal I was especially good, they played it for over 9 minutes. Scott made a speech during Sex Type Thing saying the fans make rock n roll and therefore it will never die. As long as they keep playin like they did last night, theres no chance of rock dying. Overall the show kicked ass and I can't wait to see them again.

Thanks to Ed Wehrer: Killer set! At times Scott's voice was drowned out, but that's a very minor complaint. The energy was awesome and what a neat treat Velvet Revolver offered up with "Wish You Were Here". Scott going out into the audience was a definite bonus.

I'm trying to find out if Velvet Revolver will be with Ozzfest when it comes to the 'burgh in July. If Velvet Revolver is there, so will I!

Thanks to Chuck: The set list has been the same for a while now. It is kind of unfortunate that they don't mix it up every night, but oh well, they could have played Mary Had A Little Lamb and I would have been happy. This was honestly the best concert that I have seen. As I type this, my ears are still ringing. It was truly a great rock and roll experience. There was so much star power on that stage and you could feel it all the way out in the crowd. I couldn't imagine seeing these guys in an arena setting. Venues like the ones they are playing now are perfect for the experience. I love this band even more than I have before.

Thanks to Wing_Nut: Like said before wow! Excellent show, good crowd, most people knew the words to all the songs. They have to be rock icons. Weiland was on, he has great stage presence. The band is just unbelievable. The cover songs were really good. I would say that Weiland sang It's So Easy and Mr. Brownstone better than Axl did. I know that he cannot hit the high notes like Axl but Weiland in that respect was impressive. The band played Crackerman and Sex Type thing better than the original versions. Every song they played off their album was amazing. Lots of energy and excitement. Just loved the entire experience. Scott even came into the crowd and did a little talk which was really cool and rock-god like. As far as Hoobastank, they were good and why have them. It introduces Velvet Revolver to a younger generation of kids. Oops, lastly a really different crowd. 80's GNR lovers, 90's STP lovers, high school kids with their parents who loved Velvet Revolver. Really interesting crowd which was also really pumped to see the best rock band of today.

Thanks to Gerney: I've seen bands like Korn, Metallica, Soundgarden, Radiohead etc.. and this was truly one of the best live performances I've seen to date. Weiland is the most flamboyant frontman I've ever seen and Slash is just a Rockstar..what else could he be..what a way to kick off summer..

Thanks to Velvet Revolver Fan: Greatest concert I have ever fuckin experience could get no better. From Scott coming into the crowd with his "You'll never seen a fuckin pop star out here." Slash what can I say he's just a god. Duff gave his guitar away at the end and played kick ass bass. Kushner tore it up on the guitar I have utter respect for him. Sorum his damn drums rocked...they just tour the shit up as they should. They are one of the few true rock bands left out there and the are fuckin amazing. They are fuckin Velvet Revolver and they play Rockin Fuckin Roll.

Thanks to Geraldine: Scott Weiland is the sexiest performer around. His moves all over the stage kicked ass and his voice was perfect during the whole show. And the rest of the band was amazing as well...thank you boys.

Thanks to Steve: Saw the show last night and it fucking rocked! I have not seen a show with that much energy from the band and the crowd in a long time. The Chevy Ampitheater was the perfect size venue to see the band. I happened to be in Pittsburgh by accident and found out about the show at the last minute.

Thanks to Sven: Hooobastank sucked; Velvet Revolver rocked the fucking stage. I fucking loved them before, but I love even more now. They never slowed down throughout the whole set. And their cover of 'Wish You Were Here' was beautiful. That's it. Short and sweet.

Thanks to Joanne: The show totally blew me away. I thought the opening acts were really good. When Velvet Revolver came out, the whole place was in an uproar, including the drunk moshers next to me. I was really worried about not enjoying the show because of them. Needless to say, about 3 songs in Scott said, "You need to slow down" or something like that. And I didn't see the moshers again. The energy in this band is totally amazing and my ears are still ringing. Wish You Were Here was the coolest cover that I've ever heard. All I can say is wow.

Thanks to Scottrox: I have seen many concerts including Kiss who is all about an exciting show and I thought Velvet Revolver kicked ass, the best show I have ever seen personally, Scott and Slash put on a hell of a show along with the others. The best band out there right now.

Thanks to Jake Sullivan: Wow. After seeing Velvet Revolver live for the second time, that is still the only word I can use to describe it. The show was absolutely amazing. About a quarter of the crowd stayed outside until Hoobastank's set was finished. I still cannot understand for the life of me why they would pick up Hoobastank to open for them, two completely seperate followings! Anyways, the show opened up with Suckertrain Blues, which the crowd went crazy for. I can't quite remember the setlist, but they played everything from Contraband plus "It's So Easy" and "Sex Type Thing." Then after the set, the stage went dark and the crowd went crazy in anticipation of an encore. After a minute or so, someone came out and set a stool in front of the mic stand, and then out comes Duff and Slash. They jammed for about 3 minutes with a very melodic tune and then Slash hit those unmistakable starting riffs of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here"!! The crowd went absolutely nuts and then out walk Weiland to complete one of the best covers I have ever heard. The crowd was into it the whole way, singing every word of the song. Then they played "You Got No Right", to my delight because they didn't play it at the Rolling Rock Town fair, where I saw them the first time. They ended up playing 2 encores, and finishing up with "Mr. Brownstone" and "Slither." This was the best concert I have ever been to, Velvet Revolver definately knows how to put on an incredible show.
