Reviews (41) [ send in your own review/pictures of the Holmdel show ]
Thanks to John Lieto: 4th time for me and my buddy Ant, it keeps getting better each time! The setlists are a bonus because whatever they play, it's great rock'n roll that's not being played anywhere else. I liked all the same things everyone else did but how could you forget Slash's instrumental of "Patience" before "Wish You Were Here"? The history, the guitar playing, the sheer magnitude of it was just awesome, I hope Velvet Revolver is around for a long time to come!
Thanks to Dan and Iris: Best show I have ever been to. Was very sureal for me and my girlfriend Iris. We were right near the stage and I took a zillion of the most incredible pictures in great quality. Mind you I'm no photographer...lol Iris and I have been fans of both of their prior bands for a like 18 years or so, and this was the second time we saw Velvet Revolver (last yr in AC was our 1st). But this year they were more amazing and Iris was given a stick personally by Matt which was very nice of him. He made us laugh so hard by the way on the VH1's Inside and Out, when he and Duff were arguing. Thanks guys, you give us alot of joy
Thanks to Sig: When Velvet Revolver released their first album, Contraband, last year, I had high hopes but low expectations. The talent was certainly there, but most "supergroups" usually wind up either sucking (Damn Yankees, for example) or aren't too keen on playing live shows together (see Traveling Wilburys). Velvet Revolver doesn't fit into either of those categories. Contraband turned out to be the best hard rock album of the new millenium so far and the band tours non-stop.
The Velvet Revolver show on May 20th was part of their Electric Wonderland Tour with Hoobastank. In typical PNC Bank Arts Center fashion, the show started early with a random loser band. In this case it was the aptly-named Modern Day Zero. The only notable things about Modern Day Zero are the lead singer's pathetic attempts at being a hard-rock version of Jon Bon Jovi and the band's pathetic cover of Zep's "Whole Lotta Love." You may have noticed that I used the word "pathetic" twice in the same sentence to describe Modern Day Zero - that's how much they sucked.
After Pathetic Zero's set mercifully ended, Hoobastank took the stage. Having heard their singles on the radio, I thought they would make an entertaining live band. I was wrong. Hoobastank just doesn't have the type of power to play at a venue the size of PNC Bank Arts Center. Almost every song sounded weak and they did extremely little to get the crowd into the set. The only song I really enjoyed live was "Crawling in the Dark," probably because it's one of their few tunes that has the backing power to play to an open-air ampitheater.
At this point, I was thinking two things: "Why did I come out in the cold rain to see this show?" and "Thank God I only paid $17.50." But then the lights dimmed and Velvet Revolver came out. About halfway through their opening song, "Sucker Train Blues," I realized that I was wrong. The show wasn't worth my $17.50: it was worth a hell of a lot more than that.
As expected, the show was mostly Velvet Revolver's stuff off of Contraband with a few GnR and STP covers thrown in for good measure, and all of it was great. The band has so much energy that you can't help but be enthralled. In particular, Scott Weiland is one of the best frontmen I have ever seen. His voice is perfect for the music, and his intensity is unquestionable. If he's not running around the stage prancing, he's on the bullhorn barking out lyrics like some sort of twisted protest-leader. The rest of the band was not quite as intense as Weiland, but their musical talent is so great that you'd have to try hard not to be impressed.
I'd venture to say there wasn't a dud to be found in Velvet Revolver's entire set. There were, however, a few songs that were simply amazing. One of them was the opener, "Sucker Train Blues," which was a great choice to open with as it completely ensnared the crowd's attention. The best cover of the night was "Sex Type Thing." Velvet Revolver played the song better than STP and Scott Weiland got so into it that he cursed out a fan who was causing problems in the front row (moshing with fans who didn't want to mosh). Fortunately, Weiland has a much cooler head than Axl Rose used to have, and he came into the crowd later in the song and apologized for doing what he thought he had to do. In the encores, "Wish You Were Here" (a Pink Floyd cover) was a nice surprise, and "Slither" was a great, if not obvious, way to end the night.
Then there's "Fall to Pieces." For some reason that I can't put my finger on, the song was the best of the evening for me. In fact, I got the feeling during it that I was witnessing something amazing in concert. I've only had that feeling two other times: for Metallica's "Enter Sandman" and for Springsteen's "Born to Run." So Velvet Revolver is in good company in my book.
Towards the beginning of the show, Scott Weiland proclaimed, "We are Velvet Revolver and we play motherfuckin' rock and roll!," and he was right. There are no pretentions or frills to be found at a Velvet Revolver show - only "motherfuckin' rock and roll". As such, I salute them as one of the best live acts I've seen.
Thanks to Joe Crank: The show was simply incredible! These guys are the text book definition of ROCK STARS! The tunes were tight as hell, and Scott's vocals were Rippin'!
The one small downfall of the night was when some fat slob of a man that was seated in like the 3rd row, centerstage, was giving Scott the finger throughout the whole song Sex Type Thing. Scott got fed up, called the guy a fat piece of shit and called his girlfriend a fuckin' whore, then hit actually spit in their faces, it was awesome. Then Scott went up in to the back row, and had the crowd lift him way up, and he appologized that some fat piece of shit had to try and ruin the show, reminding us that there is always one asshole in the crowd that wants to throw a wrench in the performance.
Overall, the show was phenomenal! They also played "It's so Easy", "Crackerman", and "Mr. Brownstone". In other words, they KICKED MAJOR ASS!
Thanks to Rich I: Well I got a perspective I was afraid I was going to get, no pit and security would not let us enjoy ourselves. 5th time seeing the boys and 1wt time not in the pit, sucked. I got spoiled, don't get me wrong, Velvet Revolver is the shit!! Ass kicking adrenaline pumping bad ass mother fuckers who know just know one thing on stage, how to play rock-n-fucking-roll!! Enough said Starland in July was their best show I saw but that Scranton show was a close 2nd..PNC was 3rd, seems the band is getting more comfortable, adding a little extra things-like echo on the vocals-longer solos during song's,which makes every show a little more special. I was hoping IZZY would have joined them in N.J., like he did Europe but you can't always get what you want, like the pit every show....peace, until next time we meet! P.S. it's good to see Scott looking more healthy these days.
Thanks to Amanda: This was such an amazing show. I was very fortunate of having 11th row seats, to our right of the stage. We moved up a few rows and were even closer. We were right next to the stage that was extended on the sides. Slash, Duff, and David came and played right in front of me and my friend. Scott walked by four times, because some asshole threw things on stage and then Scott was spit on, so he went to make an announcement in the top of the stadium, getting the crowd pumped. It was such an awesome show, definitely the best live show I've ever seen. The band sounded terrific, and their stage presence rocked, always moving around. The set selection was great. They really know how to work a crowd. I can't wait until they come back in the fall(so I've heard).
Anyone else who went to this show, can you agree it was amazing?
Thanks to Steve L: Wow! The greatest show I've seen. To start it off the band goes into Sucker Train Blues. After Scott goes "get ready for some mother fuckin rock and roll". And a banner flew down that said it's mother fuckin rock and roll. Then he goes how many of you girls like to fuck. And everyone went wild. And then he goes how many of you guys like to sniff cocaine? And again everyone went wild. Then he goes well if you don't do that your at the wrong show..go watch Kelly Clarkson or something like that. It was nuts! The megaphone was great and Slash did his top hat routine and he brought out a fucking double neck!
Thanks to Josh: Amazing Show...amazing show...I don't know what else to say! If not the best, then one of the best performances I've ever seen. Scott sounded great. Slash's solos were goddamn incredible! The whole band was great, thanks a lot guys I'll def be seeing you again in the near future.
Thanks to Brian: It was the best show I have ever seen!!! The whole band was explosive, they blew me and my buds out of are sets. Every song was great and when they play Guns songs I could not believe what I hearing. THE GREATEST BAND AROUND
Thanks to Tatiana: Great show and loud as hell! It definitely took a few years off my age and reminded me of what rock n roll really was and should be!
Slash is amazing! Scott can't stay still. Only downfall was the spitting at the fat guy- grossed me out!
Will see them again anytime....
Thanks to Jackie Mo: I go to a lot of shows and this was the best one I've seen in years. The band kicks ass live! Scott reminded me of a young Mick Jagger running all over the stage with such raw energy. And I've never seen anyone sing through a megaphone like he did. Slash is an incredible guitarist. Very unique sound. And Duff on bass was the most pleasant surprise. Except for Jon Paris, you rarely notice the guy on bass. But Duff is very much a key part of the band. Can't wait to see them again.
Thanks to Robbin63@Comcast.net: I loved the show, they were so good. Only one thing that I can complain about: They had the music jacked up so loud that you couldn't hear the band clear. Scott's voice seemed to get lost and Slash sounded distorted. Other than that, we had a blast. Would like to see them again.
Thanks to Steve De Jacimo: Slash, Duff, Dave and Matt are all killer! Weiland was a little off on "Illegal I". He seemed a little burnt. But otherwise he was awesome! Then Weiland went out into the crowd for "Sex Type Thing". He told some jackass in the front row to fuck off because he kept flipping him off. So Scott spit on his sorry ass...very rock n roll! Hollywood style. Good show....go see it!!!
Thanks to Mikem: Awesome show, the guys seemed to have alot of energy tonight. They were running all over the stage, it looked like they were having a blast. Weiland was amazing, what a front man. Slash was incredible. The whole band rocked. Crackerman, Sex Type Thing and You've Got No Right, were highlights, but every song seemed to rock. I can't wait to see this band again. Go see them if you can.
Thanks to Joey Redfish:: GREAT SHOW!!! This is the 4th Time I've seen Velvet Revolver. It comes in a strong 2nd only behind the Electric Factory show in Philly. Wish You Were Here was a sweet surprise. But the kicker of the night was the new lyrics to Sex Type Thing.
Some fat ass nobody was getting up in Scott's face and he let the whole house know about. He even came out in the crowd and talked about it. Right in the middle of Sex Type Thing, Scott says: I'll kick the fuck out of you, you fat fuck:. It was awesome!! The show was great, but I still miss STP.. PEACE/OUT
Thanks to Dave: This show was frickin great as hell, the best one I have ever been to. Velvet Revolver is fuckin amazing. The best part was when they played Set Me Free and Dave and Slash each had a few turns to solo. And the other part was Fall To Pieces. I got backstage after the show with my friend Kevin. Dave Kushner's wife got us in. My friend knew her. We met Slash and Dave!!!!! When they walked in I was like, HOLY SHIT it's Dave and Slash.
Thanks to Pfister: That show was fucking rad as hell. I was right there when he went Scott when into the fucking stands he used my shoulder to get up holy shit. I was close as shit to a fucking legend, obvisouly Slash kicked mother fucking ass. Really how good is Velvet Revolver? The best fucking ever. I still can't belive I was right there next to Scott while he was getting mobbed in the stands. I was 6 inches away from the man.
Thanks to Adam: Amazing show, these guys are keeping rock and roll alive and I fuckin love them. They are rock gods, Slash was amazing, definately looking forward to another show.
Thanks to Chris: Wow it blew me away, the energy was incredible, all the guys in Velvet Revolver are quite the showmen. The best parts of the night had to be when Scott stopped during Sex Type Thing and spit on the guy who threw something at him. Then he ran up the side of the arts center and into a crowd where he totally ripped on the guy. Then also at the end of the show during Slither more guys in the front were causing trouble, and as they were being taken away Scott stopped singing to say "see ya later asshole". THE SHOW WAS GREAT!
Thanks to John: Not bad of a show...sound had major problems. Weather sucked....now what was the deal in the first three rows center stage. I was off to right about 4 rows....there was a issue with a fan. Scott was singing to him at one point then just got a bit nasty. Scott spit on this fan two or three times. Scott left and went up to second section to unwind I guess. Duff procedded to area of fan and told him to chill...then gives this guy a look only Duff can give. Like I'll fucking kill you dude. Scott comes back and all seemed well untill on chorus. Scott goes to far right of the stage points to area and guards come get this guy out. Scott says his goodbyes publicly to removed fan. What was this all about. By the way Velvet Revolver boys you did a great job handling this fan.....and my review of the show was alll thumbs up. Have great pics of the show...if you need to see them get in touch later.
Thanks to jenscissorhands: Once again stunned awwed and totally rocked, betta than the first time, very tight. Wish You Were Here blew us away, they were truly amazing. Rock N Roll will never die!!! Especially happy to see tons of kids in Velvet Revolver attire, there is hope, rock n roll lives in the heart of Velvet Revolver. Thanks for the fucking awesome show..peace.
Thanks to Felicia: It was the best rock show I've ever seen and I've been to many. These guys are truly 100% rock and roll and I really respect that. They really know how to put on a show and you can tell they love the shit out of what they do. I'm sure that any concert I go to after this one cannot top it. Watching them play is so inspiring and entertaining.
Thanks to Mike: The show was great, really couldn't ask for anything more. It was great to hear Scott sing Wish You Were Here then to see him wonder off to the crowd. It kinda felt like an STP show but, you know it wasn't. Hope to see them for my 4th time real soon. But, this show was by far the best....
Thanks to Someone: WOW. Been into music long time. This brought back memories of pristine ROCK...no BS, in your face, with superclean riffage, "fuck all y'all" attitude...sit down and hold on, motherfucker! Slash = royalty...give him the title! Duff is back bigger badder than ever...Sorum challenged from the first song; he stood up over the kit and stared won the entire 13k plus in the house! And now for the man of the house: the voice. The presence. The stage control...not the mention the fuckin' crowd control! I give you the one...the guaranteed only one that can pull that shit off..mesmerizing Scott Weiland. PS Don't sweat the small shit. This was totally phantasmagorical. Everyone should go, release, live again. Peace.
Thanks to Eddie: Velvet Revolver was shot right out of a cannon from the time they set foot on stage! Duff, Slash, Dave, Scott AND Matt looked like they had the time of their lives. Any five minutes of this show was worth the price of admission! From the first song to the last, no interuptions, they kept the show moving. My personal favorites: Big Machine, It's So Easy, Sex Type Thing, Dirty Little Thing and Slither were crisp and clear! The crowd of all ages rocked (this was my 10 year old daughter's first show; had the time of her life!). There was one asshole who got under Scott's skin, but other than that, one of the greatest shows I've ever seen! Not a big Pink Floyd fan, but Wish You Were Here was awesome. I didn't see one person leave until the middle of Slither (to beat traffic). These guys know how to work a crowd and rock it!
Thank you Velvet Revolver and (Hoobastank, who were very good) for a great night and for making my daughter's first show a solid rock and roll memory! PNC Art Center(Who is owned by Clear Channel Communications) sucks!
Thanks to Sean: First time I saw them since Rolling Rock Town Fair in Latrobe...absolutely amazing...even from a shitty view, Velvet Revolver put on one of the best shows I have seen. Plan on seeing them whenever they visit the tri-state. Sex, drugs, and Rock and Roll (yeah it's gay but who cares).
Thanks to Chris: This show was fucking insane. It clearly shows what a rock and roll band is. Slash is my favorite guitarist and clearly showed it tonight. He played every solo well, except Sucker Train Blues he still can play it good. Anyway Duff as always kicked ass lying down the thunder on the bass, Dave (Jersey rep) backed every one with his hard rhythms, Matt did ok and Scott was well Scott and absolutely kicked ass. The sound was ok, they needed to turn up the microphones or turn down the amps because I had trouble at times hearing Scott.
This was my second time seeing them and they have definitely gotten better and more comfortable playing with each other. Velvet Revolver FOR FUCKING EVER.
Thanks to Anthony: This was my first Velvet Revolver concert and I was blown away. Every song they played from Contraband was better live. The crowd went crazy for It's So Easy and Mr. Brownstone which were my favorite songs they played. I also thought Sex Type Thing and Wish You Were Here were great. It was great seeing Slash because he's one of my influences for playing the guitar. It was also great seeing the rest of the band healthy and having a good time. I plan on seeing them again whenever they come to New Jersey or New York again.
Thanks to Casey: The show I saw was AMAZING!!!! They all had a lot of energy. It was so great I definitely NEED to go to another one. I love Velvet Revolver SOOOO much.
Thanks to RockOn: They were absolutely fucking fantastic. I swear that Scott was so trashed. Somebody threw a wrench at him? I think he was talking about that when he came up to the farther part of the stage. God they're so fucking amazing live! So much damn ENERGY! FUCK YES!!!! This show was so much better than the last one I saw!
Thanks to Top-Hatted One: I was there with about 10 other friends it was a blast! I couldn't believe I was hearing DLT and YGNR live for the first time! I went fricking nuts man! Not the same intimate setting since I sat in the back with the more casual fans but whenever I looked down below I saw you guys rockin the fuck out!
What happened during that incident was some asshole was up there with his middle finger pointing right in Scott's face the whole time. Both Scott and Duff told him to knock it off and then Scott just tore him a new hole lol it was great! He said something like it's a shame 16,000 people come here to enjoy a great rnr show but one asshole has to try to upstage 16,000 and try to ruin it. Then Scott said he thinks the guy was holding his finger up because he wanted to fuck him and the crowd errupted laughing! LOL!!
During the middle of Sex Type Thing, Scott ran to the back of the venue and had the fans hold him up as he sang! That's also when he ripped that guy apart.
The sound was so perfect from where we sat and they sound so much tighter now! When you're in the front you don't hear Scott and Slash too well mostly bass and drums but in the back you hear it in fuckin dvd quality it's great! But given the choice I would always chose front row just to interact with the band and the diehard fans! We went in a big group so I was stuck further back but it's cool since this was the 6th time seeing them lol
Can't wait for them to come around again! Especially with the new album which should be amazing!
Thanks to Erik: This show was FUCKING amazing. The band was in top form. This was my first (of many) Velvet Revolver shows. My buddy has been to a lot of concerts and he isn't the biggest Velvet Revolver fan, but when the show was over, he said that this one one of the best concerts he had ever seen. Slash, Duff, Dave, Matt and Scott are all amazing. Slash is GOD. Velvet Revolver rock!
Thanks to Dan: I was very excited to see Velvet Revolver, but I was let down so bad, that I left. The sound was one of the worst mixes I have ever heard at a concert. We are talking over 200 concerts. I told the sound guy how bad it was and he did not give a damn. As we left, we found a lot of other people that were disgusted and pissed off... we were ripped off. I want a refund.
Thanks to Michael: Last night topped all Velvet Revolver shows. It crushed Krock's Claus Fest and barely topped last years show at Roseland Ballroom. It means so much to me to see these legends get up on stage and do their thing. Slash is my guitar idol and just everyone in that band has contributed something special to the music industry.
So about the show. Words cannot describe how energetic they are and the vibe they give off. Unbelievable. Although, some fucking asshole threw something at Scott during Sex Type thing. Scott goes into the crowd (kind of where I was sitting.) My friend and I run over. Must of been within a 10 foot radius of the man him self Scott Weiland. Scott says "One fucking asshole is trying to ruin it for 16,000 of you. So I decided to come in the back where all the real fans are." He continues with Sex Type thing from the crowd. Everyone was going nuts and in awe. That moment was probably my best concert moment ever, even being 5 feet away from Warren Haynes at a Gov't Mule concert.
The guys get off and then come back and encore with a Pink Floyd cover. Awesome job. Then I believe they played You Got No Right. Best song of the night. Without a doubt the best song on Contraband. Then they went off. Came back played Mr. Brownstone. Pretty much everyone knew the words to that one. All knew the words except for the posers who didn't appreciate the show. Finally, they played Slither to close the night. Kick ass job.
Overall, the show was awsome. I lost my voice just from all the screaming and singing with Scott and the band. Awesome show. Thanks guys you mean a lot to the kids who look up to you guys and especially me.
Thanks to Sarah: Wow! I am still in a complete state of euphoria. It rained all day yesterday but calmed down by the time the show went on. I did the 5 star package. For $225 dollars, I was really feeling that the pre show party was not worth the money, considering we were in a cold tent. I didn't win anything in the raffle so I was pretty bummed out and was really hoping that the show would make up for it. My seats were incredible and worth every cent. I was sitting 2nd row center. Hoobastank was decent. They were fully aware that no one was really there to see them and that they were clearly a warm-up band. When I saw how close I was to the lead singer I got realllly pumped for Velvet Revolver. I wound up getting Hoobastank's setlist, the frontman handed it to me. Velvet Revolver went on pretty quickly after Hoobastank. It only felt like I was waiting about 30 min. When the boys took the stage I was blown away. This was my very first Velvet Revolver show. I thought that the sound was pretty good. I could hear everything pretty clearly. The guys all looked fabulous. Scott came out with a shirt and tie and white leather blazer, and as the show went on, he removed each layer. The guys all seemed really into it. The highlight of the show for me was "Sex Type Thing". Scott was really into the song and put on an awesome performance. This big, fat, asshole, a few rows over from me, was giving Scott the finger through the whole show and whenever Scott would come close to the crowd, the guy would yell out "Fuck You". Scott got livid. He called the guy a "Fat Fuck" and spit in his face. I gotta say, the man has great aim. Scott then made his way up into the crowd and continued on with the song. During the song, my friend and I were up on the monitor. It was all very cool. Scott gave a speech about how guys, such as that asshole, ruin the show for everyone. They continued on with the set. It all went by so fast. It was true rock n'roll. I had a great time. I even got to touch Scott's leg and hand! Velvet Revolver puts on an amazing show! I cannot wait for their next American tour with the new cd. It was by far the best show I have ever seen...these guys are legends.
Thanks to Erica: Wow! WHAT a show!!! There were two opening bands, Modern Day Zero (whom I've never heard of) and Hoobastank (awful I couldn't wait for them to get off stage).
And then Velvet Revolver. What is there to say? The lights dimmed, the crowd roared and EVERYBODY was on their feet. I did not see one single person sitting.
The setlist was the same as always and with the knowledge of knowing the setlist (thanks to you guys!), I was able to concentrate on the music and the performance more. My seats were to the right and pretty close, so I had a great view.
Instead of doing this song by song, I'll just give you guys highlights:
-- Fall To Pieces: such a crowd pleaser! Everyone was singing along. Of course, here I am, bouncing and singing to every single word... I must have looked psychotic.
--It's So Easy: the crowd went NUTS during this one. And standard procedure, after "I see you standing there, you think you're SO cool... why don't you just... F-CK OFF!" everyone gave the finger. It was such a wonderful mutual feeling.
--SEX TYPE THING: Okay, so you know how Scott goes into the audience during the song? I thought I was going to have a fit when I saw that security was blocking off the aisle in front of me so that Scott could walk by on the aisle next to me. And before I knew it, Scott and his entourage of beefy bodyguards were walking right next to me. Scott WAS TWO FEET AWAY FROM ME. Or less. I don't even KNOW. He was beautiful. And then he went up a little further, got propped up and I rushed to another part of the audience and climbed up on a little platform and I was probably 8 feet away from him. It was very surreal, just watching this man and learning about him and all, and here he is. IN THE AUDIENCE. He did his speech but I wasn't even listening because I was in awe, and so captivated. Eventually, he came back down and went down by me again. Wow.
Oh, and during Superhuman, Scott played some synth thing or whatever? He was standing at this thing and pushing buttons and making some funky sounds. Pretty cool.
During Wish You Were Here, the whole audience was singing the whole time. Mr Brownstone was awesome as well and everyone just loved Slither.
Slash was classic as always and Duff was just radiant tonight. Dave and Matt were their usual great. I just love this band so much.
For a chilly night in Jersey, the guys were hot! They looked great, played great, Scott sounded great. WOW.
Thanks to Roxy and Grunge: The show was amazing. The band had the highest energy I have seen from them to date and Scott's voice was amazing. Even when he came out into the crowd during Sex Type Thing to berate a dude who was acting hostile in the front row, he kept his cool and kept the show going. Duff, Slash and Dave darted back and forth across the stage, rarely staying still for more then a few seconds. And Scott buzzed about the stage like a caged animal. He danced and shook during all the songs except Wish You Were Here, when he just chilled on a stool.
Without a doubt, the most amazing live band touring today. Do yourself a favor and get out and see true rock N' fukin' roll!!!
Thanks to red: Rock gods!!!! Rock in roll back bitches! 2nd time seeing them! And it just keeps getting better and better. Same setlist as the last few concerts so I knew what to expect. "Wish You Were Here" was amazing so was "You Got No Right" best song of the night was "Sex Type Thing" crowd was nuts and Weiland threw out a fat ass fuck! Slash was fucking unreal! Rock is back man, you gotta see this band! Pure entertainment! You don't have to be a fan to enjoy! Pure fire and balls amazing man, just amazing!
Thanks to Joe Corato: It was splendid. Slash has a cool hat. I'm scared of megaphones, but Scott worked them masterfully. I enjoyed myself, there was a drunk guy in front of us dancing like a hog on weed. I also liked the no smoking signs all over the place and how I managed to go home smelling like smoke. Whudda thunkit? I didn't know Dave could play the guitar that good, that guy clearly has roots in Jersey, the best fucking state around. It smells here too, I love it. One complaint I have is that you left out "Spectacle" and "Loving the Alien," both wonderful songs. Slash has a lotta tattoos! You guys rocked so loud I think I've damn near gone deaf. I'm sorry did you say something, all I hear is ringing!
Hoobastank was also wonderful, their songs tickled me inside. And to top all of this off Modern Day Zero was by far the greatest thing that's ever happened to me since sliced pizza.
Thanks to Andrew B: Grabbed these tickets off ebay last night, 2nd time in one week I saw them. A birthday present I won't forget. Was especially funny when some fat kid put his hand in Scott's face and Scott said "I'll kick the fuck out of you you fat fuck" in the middle of Sex Type Thing. Was great. Everything was amazing as usual, looking forward to seeing them in the future.
Thanks to Ben: Wow....once again...this was my third Velvet Revolver show and by far the best. They blew us all away. The best part was Slash pulling out the double guitar, setting up Scott for...get this.. WISH YOU WERE HERE!!!! God Bless these guys!!!
