Thanks to Lena: Great show...my dream came true. I saw Slash live and...
I am in llooovvveeeeeeeeeeeee-(just a joke). Boys are great, I hope to see them soon. Somewhere near Croatia, Slovenia...

Thanks to Given: Perfect show! Well, basically I'm STP fan, so I went just to see Scott, but complete band was just perfect!

Scott, thank you... gave me a night to remember.

Thanks to Tx: I come from Italy to see Velvet Revolver again; best show that I have seen, ever. Perfect fascinating place; people so close to the stage: real people!! Show like in a dirty bar. Velvet Revolver drive everybody crazy. Definitely an amazing rock n' roll concert and more.

Thanks to Jacko the Ripper:: HI!

It is amazing how many good reviews are on this page about this show. Especially after so many people being not satisfied after the concert. I asked a lot of friends about their opinion of this concert and the answers were quite negative. They said that Velvet Revolver played bad, that the sound was bad, that they should play more songs from Guns'n'roses etc. I don't agree with that. They were at Velvet Revolver concert, not GNR! And I told them that, but still they were not happy. Well, who cares about them.

I give 6/10 stars to this performance, mostly because of the bad sound. This mistake really bothered me. Feeled like that technicians had never had a concert in this auditorium which is actually very good for concerts. There was too much fuzz (distorsion) noise and you just couldn't get the whole picture of songs played. Especially Slashs guitar was too silent. It is much louder on the cd and this feels much better, because he playes the main riffs which really suck you in (like Sucker Train Blues :)).

But on the other side it was really nice seeing all the band members live and hearing these songs played live. They played almost all songs like they are recorded on the cd for exception of two or three songs. I suggest a little bit more different versions (longer versions) of this tracks - for example Led Zeppelin played one 4 minute song for 20 minutes! You know what I mean. I really like that two songs that were played differently. But still in my opinion they were good - like I expected. It's only sad that bad sound destroyed whole good work of the band. And this takes 4 stars.

Come back again someday (for presentation of the new cd ;)) and repair that sound and it will be perfect (10/10!)!

To band members: stay that good and continue making that magnificent songs (I can't wait for the new album)!
To tehnicians: you should get your asses kicked very hard!!!!!!!

ONLY ROCK AND ROLL!

Thanks to Tyasha: Your show was great and I really enjoyed it. I hope that you will come in Ljubljana again...

Thanks to Julia: I've been a G'n'R fan since Appetite and I discovered STP when I was 16 so this was a fuckin big night for me. So bare with me if I won't know how to stop writing. ;)

I was literally counting down the days to this concert and well, I've never seen Guns'n'Roses live or STP and I loved Slash's Snakepit but Velvet Revolver are something completely different. I loved the album since I first heard it and never even dreamed about them coming over here. But they did. :D :D :D Probably made my fuckin year.
When the supporting slo rock legends - as someone put it - got on stage I realized I might lose my mind when the real thing comes on. And the real thing was quite late which made the audience grow impatient and some imbecils were yelling offensive stuff. But when Duff took the stage, it was all forgotten. I mean, I've waited for them for like 15 years, I could wait another half an hour. ;) And yeah, when they came on stage, I did lose it. This was an etherical experience, unlike ANY other concert I've EVER been to.

There were quite some young girls in the audience and some took the front rows; I loved how Scott mocked them, he said: »This song is for all you pretty girls down here. who like to fuck!« and then they played Do It For The Kids.

The crowd went nuts to It's So Easy - and I mean NUTS. Fall To Pieces was even more heartbreaking than it usually is. Slash introduced Set Me Free by saying that this song talks about why they're here doing this. It was slightly sad that people didn't know the STP songs all that well; during Sex Type Thing Scott went to the balcony and made the audience sing with him »Like you're fucking and you're yelling faster and faster!« And the entire venue was screaming HERE I COME faster and faster hehehe.

Scott changes, entirely, when he signs a STP song. I mean, his face is different, his moves are different, even his singing is different.

These guys are oozing sex, I can't put it any other way. And they're so hyper, so energetic, they're running up and down the stage, it was so good to see Dave go crazy and Matt couldn't even sit still behind his drums. I swear if these guys couldn't do this they would probably just die off slowly or something. They feed off this and they love it. It was so cool watching Duff crack a HUGE smile everytime he looked into the audience and him and Slash have this special chemistry going on.

At one point in time, this guy managed to get on stage and he ran across it, straight to Slash. He was harmless, probably just delirious and happy to be so close to Slash -it all lasted maybe two seconds - but the band members kinda cringed and flinched a little. Slash and Scott especially, I think Duff barely saw what happened before it was over.

I didn't like the echoing that happened or the lack of volume of Scott's voice at the beginning. People went nuts with Mr Brownstone too and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. Slash started playing and it was so awesome, Scott came and stood in the back just moving along with the tune a little. They were all so consumed with playing music, it's great seeing a band that loves doing it after so many years. At the end of the Slither, Scott walked off stage and Slash and Duff said we were an amazing audience and they had a great great time playing and some cool stuff like that. Duff is so hot it's hard to concentrate on his playing sometimes. ;)

When the show was over, some of my friends and I thought we'd wait for the band. It didn't take that long and the security people were nice. First came out Matt who was just the sweetest. He walked straight to us and asked us if we liked the show and signed our stuff and said we were a good crowd. Even in G'n'R times I never thought of him as a hot guy but in person he just seemed completely different, he has this charisma and the way he talked to us was just the sweetest. Oh and he winked at me. :) As expected, Duff walked by with only a wave of the hand and a »bye«. Dave came out and nobody really yelled after him. I asked him to sign something and he was happy to do it, *he* actually thanked me! Scott came out, was sending kisses all around and kept on walking. I yelled after him »You sex type thing!« and he turned around and smiled and then kept on walking. Everybody was waiting for Slash and he came out and just continued walking. This girl leapt out of the crowd after him and it was horrible how he just pressed himself against the wall . I don't know, I guess they appreciate the fans but it has to be a really devastating feeling to sometimes be afraid of people or what they might do. People are crazy, you know.

This girl told me that apparently her friend, a huge STP fan, was in the front row, got all smashed and stuff, but he managed to get out a cover of a STP cd (maybe even Core, I don't know) and shove it in front of Scott and ask him to sign it. Scott was apparently so happy that someone there liked STP he signed it right there and then in the middle of the concert and thanked the guy for buying the cd and liking the Pilots.

I'm sorry to everyone who cursed me for writing something this long but I've been reading other reviews religiously ;P and I was so thankful for all the info I got through them that maybe I can try and pass this on. :)
And I'm in love! His name is Matt and he's a drummer. ;) God, you guys, whoever is gonna go see the concert, I'm SO jealous. Enjoy!

Thanks to Peter: Venue was in Krizanke which is the most famous place in our capital (Ljubljana).

The show was 1.5 hour long and was really great. The only thing which disturb was that sound which was too fat this means that the bass was too loud so you had to listen very good if you want to hear Slash's solos, but the and was this problem fixed. Duff was real great he really flirt with the audience which looks so good.

Thanks to Mojca: Coulnd't say anything against it! Anything! It was great! But at first I thought people in the back didn't quite get it where they were. At a Velvet Revolver concert! But too bad it felt like you guys were playing for just half an hour. I guess good things always end quicker then they should. Wish you all well and have fun.

Thanks to Flash: It's the second time for me to see Velvet Revolver (first in Bologna 04) but the first time to see any GN'R or Velvet Revolver member playing in Slovenija. The concert in Ljubljana was the most fantastic, energetic, orgasmic, MF rock'n'roll show I've ever seen. And I think I'm not the only one having this kind of feelings. Crowd almost went nuts as they appeared on the stage..and they kept the same energy till the end..Velvet Revolver rules!! Can't wait to see them again!!

Thanks to Damir: Great show! It's my first Velvet Revolver concert and first time you could see ex-members of GN'R in this part of Europe (they never toured here). Btw, I'm from Croatia, I came to Ljubljana just to see this show. So, there was about 5000-6000 people, all ages, male and female. Avenue was half-open-air (if you know what I mean) and not so huge, so it was crowded. You could hardly move during the show. The crowd was amazing, they knew all the lyrics, which suprised even the band so Scott asked "How many of you have bought this album?".

Velvet Revolver rocked the fuckin place! First came Duff and was just standing there for about 2 minutes, chewing his gum like some bad-ass motherfucker and looking at the crowd, which went nuts. Then the band came and played Sucker Train Blues. The setlist was as usual.

The headlights of the show were It's So Easy, Fall To Pieces and Floyd's Wish You Were Here. During WYHW whole crowd was singing and Slash put his top-hat and there was "Slash" chant.

Only negative thing I can say about the concert is that you couldn't hear Scott during first few song. He obviously had some problems. And in general, volume should have been much higher.

This is the best show I have been on, I'm huge Guns N' Roses fan and I admit, I thought Velvet Revolver sucked, but after seeing them live I changed my mind. Like Slash said during the show, "rock n fuckin roll"!!!

Thanks to Slash is GOD : Holy shit, this was fuckin' awsome!!! They started with a song Sucker Train Blues, as in every show this tour. They were 45 minutes late (they had to empty the bottles, right :P), but when they came on stage, the audience went nuts. The sound wasn't exactly perfect first 30 minutes, but then the techicians repaired it, I guess :P. In the middle of the concert, Scott came in the balcony in the right, about 2m above audience, that was awesome, everybody singed along with hyperactive Scott. They played It's so easy and everyone just went fu**in nuts! STP songs also kicked ass (Crackerman, Sex type thing), but the highlight of the show was probably Pink Floyd's cover, Wish You Were Here. Too bad that they didn't play the whole version of Mr. Brownstone. They said goodbyes with a song called Slither. I've been to many concerts before, but this was special, something that I will remember for the rest of my life. Probably because I'm a Guns n roses fan since I remember. :) I would rate it with 9/10, it was everything that I expected and more. (-1 is because of sound problems at the begining).

Thanks to Dikobraz: The show was awesome!!! I've been to many concerts, but this was definitely the best one! It was everything that I expected and more!

Thanks to Primoz: Hi,

Great show happend last night. There is hard to find good rock'n roll band these days. Scott is fuckin crazy. He's doing a lot that band is so energetic and interesting. With all respect to Slash, Duff and guys. Keep up the good work.

See you!

Thanks to Hull: I am not very good in English but the show rocks! First we warm up with slow rock legends Shank Rock and then at 21:40 they come on the stage! And they left 2h later they were amazing Slash was GOD! In the middle of the show Scott took mic and went to the fans he went on balcony in the left side of the Krizanke Anphitheatre!!! So that all the fans could give him hand an then he was screaming HERE I CAME!!

I was at lot of rock concerts but I must say this one was one of the best!!! I hope that I could post you picture as some as posible!!
