Thanks to Mroova: I was there 3m from Velvet Revolver. I come from Poland.
Velvet Revolver is amazing. Scott changed my life. I'm waiting for Velvet Revolver 10 months from last year Berlin. My wife said: Divorce... and I wasn't ride to Berlin. Now, don't reason for that. I'm crying on start concert, but Duff look at me and... I'm happy and wild. "The best r'n'r band on the world". Fuck,it's true.
Scott is a best dancer on the world. It's better from Axl, but he has r'n'r in heart.I have too. My band ZLA OBSESJA (Bad Obsession) is a best r'n'r band in Poland.
Hey Duff !
Hey Slash !
Hey Scott !
Hey Matt !
Hey Dave !
HEY MY Velvet Revolver !!!!!
COME TO POLAND !!!!!!!!! Please...
Thanks to Rayno: What a great gig! I liked it even it was too short. I guess they were allowed to play only 9 songs because Max Cavalera's Soulfly joined the tour so there were already three bands.
I don't think the band was satisfied with the show cos there were too many old lazy Sabbath fans who didn't give a fuck and just stared. Especially Dave and Duff seemed to be a bit disappointed. Btw, Dave played some amazing solos during the extended Sex Type Thing.
After the gig I met Duff (thank you, Angelika!) and he took me backstage to see Scott, Slash and Dave (Matt left right after the gig with two chicks by his side). This was an absolute highlight.
Thanks to Iva: It was loud, loud, loud. And a great show for me. Slash was playing guitar like a god. Really great to see this group just having fun. Better then Black Sabbath with one of the best ROCK ballad Fall To Pieces.
Scott should learn some more words (are you ready? Before every song was a little bit boring) but thanks Duff for being there (his body makes me crazy).
Thanks to Maciek: "We are the best motherfuckin' rock n' roll band in the world" - Scott said. Exactly! I agree. In spite of touring since May 2004, they are still full of energy. These guys love rock n' roll and we can see that! They gave me so much positive vibrations and made me happy! Velvet Revolver played 50 minutes, I think. Too short... fuck. I came from Warsaw, Poland, to see these masters of rock n' roll, my greatest idols. I wish they played in Poland next time, maybe in 2006? By the way: audience pissed me off, they were so cold (because of waiting for Black Sabbath?). Long live Rock N' Roll!! Long live Velvet Revolver!!
Thanks to Pneu: I came to the show all the way from Poland. Basically, it was a Black Sabbath concert. Most people obviously came to see Ozzy & co. Velvet Revolver came on stage after Soulfly. They came with a small delay. I heard crew members talkin something like "Brownstone's out" and then crossing some things out of the setlist sheets. Whatever the reason was the set was very short. BUT... IT ROCKED. I was just up front on the Slash's side of the stage. I saw my guitar god playing about a metre away, a memory for life. Me and my friends (also from Poland) rocked hard through the whole Velvet Revolver set (unfortunately most of the audience around seemed not to care much). Later a friend recieved a drum stick from Matt himself.
Anyway, what a performance. I would die to see them play the normal, long set. An image of Duff playing arm to arm with Slash, Duff looking in your eyes with this "Yeah Man" kinda attitude, Slash playing solos on his knees, behind his head, supporting himself agains the speaker, Scott loking at you with all his posessed by rock n roll madman looks. Nothing can beat that.
P.S. They should come to Poland to see the real fuckin wild crowd.
Thanks to Bizon: A truly great evening in Prague. T-Mobile Arena was full. Soulfly was the first act..they played for about 35-40 minutes. Not my cup of tea really...then the stage was ready for Velvet Revolver show but they were still not there. There were some technical problems and they hit the stage about 15 minutes late and thus had to cut their set short of 2 songs (probably Mr. Brownstone and dlt :( ). As they finally entered the stage most of the people in the front went nuts. Most of the people that is people from Poland who were there as the guys from the Chech Republic once more proved that most of them can't enjoy a rock gig. Fortunately we were there with Polish flags but of course the band will probably play in Prague again next year instead of Poland. Sad but true... but back to the gig. They hit the stage and sounded lika a trio. I could hear Scott quite well only during some parts of FTP. It changed when I had to move back during the penultimate song. But wherever I stood I couldn't hear a single note that Dave played. They should kick their sound crew right in the ass as it's not the first time their sound is fucked up. But they were fantastic anyway. They rocked the house from the very beginning to the end. Shame there were only 9 songs.
One more thing...I saw only 4 people in Velvet Revolver shirts including me and my friend. There were many GN'R shirts though...and Slash had a t-shirt with GN'R 'skull-with-hat-and-crossed-guns' logo all red but of course without GN'R name on it ;)
Thanks to AirArtur: There are no words to describe this show. It was my second time I saw guys from GNR (first time in Berlin 2004). I was standing in the second row, amazing how they still playing with smiles on their faces and energy. Slash is my god, this guy is awesome, solo behind head, solo on knees...everything you want to see. Setlist had just 9 song. Awesome 50 minutes of my life. I travelled from Poland to see my heroes. Great show!!! Thx Velvet Revolver.
