Thanks to Nikoe: I drove 10 hours from Canada and paid 130 dollars to watch two 'strippers' not take their clothes off--plus, the open bar was not worth it. Seeing as how I had to stand for an extra 3 hours to wait for the band to come out right at 12am, so they could play the exact same songs I hear them play every time, for 1.5 hours--the band had my pants around my ankles that night, 'cause I got fucked.

Thanks to Bill: After reading some of the comments, I have to stress, the pit was about 95% perfect. I think most people who go to 'rock' shows don't really know what a pit truely is. Everyone picked up on falls and only the 'trees' seemed to get pissed as they should and learn how to round out a pit (which means if you are in the front rim, yes, you have to turn away from the band and block back moshers, launch crowd riders and hell dance in the pit yourself when it is time.. if you don't you better go hug the rail or get to the sides. It was great to see almost everyone in and around the pit understand for a change. Reminds me of the old visions, sick of it all, or gorilla biscuit shows years ago.

They must of gotten hammered the night before since the doors opened at 8pm with open bar for a couple hours and everyone thinking they would be on around 10-10:30pm..well they kept switching from a big screen showing Rolling Stones concert footage (while playing other music) to pulling that up and having a couple of stripper chicks dance to about 5-6 songs and switching back (no they didn't get naked, all ages ya know). Anyway, they then went really lame and played live footage of NY Times Square at midnight on the big screen and still no sign of VR.. they didn't come on till like 12:20pm and played for about and hour. At least since it was Northern Jersey the place understood a good pit and the bouncers let people go wild. Nice to know places still understand real pits. Thanks to the heavy hard core history of Northern Jersey for sure.

Efactory was a much better show.

Thanks to Mike: This was a great show. Great set-up by the venue, the band and management. The open bar service was great and quick to deal with everybody with few exceptions due to people gathering in one spot rather than in a line.

For those of you complaining about not being able to drink or move because you were worried about losing your spot, I feel sorry for you. I only joined the crowd when the countdown to 2006 was around the 11 second mark and saw just about the entire show from about a body or two the whole night. You either go for a party or you have a plan to stay up front to see the band. Welcome to a general admission show - get over it! A couple of my friends went up and made friends with the guardrail and saw the whole show from an arms length. Nice :)

From the moment I got into the place with my friend, it was laid back, easy to deal with and a lot of fun. We played pool for a good hour an a half with so many different people sharing laughs and having a great time. I downed about 13 rum and cokes before the show started and unfortunatly, my friend did the same. He made friends with the garbage can in the men's room for about an hour and finally made it back out in time for the show. I guess it was one of those times where I held my booze well and enjoyed every minute of the evening. It was all a good time!

The clock counted down to midnight and we were all greeted by Dave who ran up on stage, swung his arms in the air telling us it was party time. He was then joined by the rest of the boys for a loud, strung-out D chord with Matt smashing his symbols and a quick introduction by... somebody and then blasted into Suckertrain Blues.

Every song they played reminded me of just how tight these guys are as a band. Superhuman sounded better than I ever remember hearing it and Sex Type thing probably had the best rant and crowd participation I've ever heard on CD, bootleg or that I've ever been a part of. Set Me Free and Mr. Brownstone blew my head off, as usual. Great show and great showmanship by the boys. No complaints there.

The only compaint I have was the lenth of the setlist. Yeah, it was only Wish You Were Here and You Got No Right that were scrapped, but I've never been to a show where there has been barely an album's worth of material. I understand that the band collects nothing when it comes to the ticket prices and works only off of the royalty of merchandise and whatever the promoter pays them. It's the promoter that offers the open bar, party favours, and .99 cent Dunkin' Donuts at the end of the night, but as a consumer, my $100 expected a full set, which is something that I would have rather had and somebody should have been on top of it. If they had to be off at 1:30, the crowd was getting to rowdy, the local crew was bithcing, regardless...The Starland, Velvet Revolver or House of Blues, it doesn't Matter. I wasn't the only one that was upset of the length of the set. It put a little bit of a damper on things for me for about 5 minutes, but I got over it.

Overall, I had a great night despite my little complaint of how long I saw the band for. They came out on fire and they left the stage on fire. Slash never fails to amaze me. Dave really is Velvet Revolver's secret weapon and key to about 9/10's of the sound they deliver. Matt, it was so great to see him back, again and holding down the fort. Duff is the ultimate rockstar and Scott is always the devil of frontmen... always possessed and in the zone. I got what I went there for... a great party and a great band!

Thanks to druholt2: Good time, I was disappointed by the energy though and did anyone noticed Scott looked pissed about something, like midway through the show, even before that, like something set him off. The way the show was storyboarded was definitely a fuck up though.

Thanks to Sibly: I will blame the Starland for a lot of what sucked that night, but the sound isn't one of them. Most shows I see there sound good. When I saw Anthrax there in June, it was incredible sounding (go buy the DVD of that show!). So blame the sound on Velvet Revolver as well. Vocals way too low. Otherwise, I thought it sounded ok, unless you were in the side areas.

Just echo above about Velvet Revolver. A strong but waaaaay to short of a set for a band that was quoted in Rolling Stone about wanting to really rock that night. Overall a big $$$ letdown.

Thanks to Skee: This venue has issues. Not enough bartenders. Not enough trash cans. Too crowded - I know the Starland can hold 3k, but they should've kept it under 2k. 'Open' bar (no shots, no top shelf, only 3 bartenders at the main bar).

On the up side: a good mix of young and old fans. Lots of hot chicks - there were 2 'stuck in the 80s' teased blondes making out by the back bar. At least, that's what my g/f told me. I was too busy making out with a short, busty brunette right in front of Slash to notice ;).

I thought the sound was decent for such a small venue (Borgata's sound is better by far). Going on at midnight would've been cool if there was an opening band at 10-11. DJ was pretty good. Dancers were... well, unremarkable.

Would've like a few more covers/cross-overs/new songs, but seeing as how it was my first time at a Velvet Revolver gig, I can't complain. I definitely would've been pissed if I'd already seen them and was expecting something new.

Thanks to Michael Long: OFF THE FRIGGIN HOOK!!!! There's always those unsatisfied no matter what but I've seen these guys 4 times this year and this was a great way to ring in the New Year. It was a true ROCK concert with the big band but not all the "corporate" glamour that is fed to people nowadays. There were crowd surfers, beer being sprayed into the crowd and veteran rockers who kicked my a$$ while I smiled. I agree they were on and off rather quickly but they have to celebrate New Year's too people COME ON!!!! If I had to voice a complaint I'd say I wanted to hear the Come on, Come in track but besides that the best New Year's ever for me. But I liked they're professionalism and punctuality. Not to mention I've got over a gig of live footage since I was right in front of Slash the whole time. HAPPY F'N NEW YEAR PEOPLE. LIBERTAD is coming!!!!

Thanks to Joanne: The sound was really off -- barely heard Scott. The 3+ hour wait almost had me leaving, but once they hit the stage, they were awesome. Granted, I practically know the set list by heart but it was cool.

Thanks to Billy Bones: There is no doubt in my mind that Scott has fallen off the ball. He was so freaking stoned the entire set. During Sex Type Thing the whole band quieted down so Slash could play a solo then Scott just kept on singing. They turned Scott's mic down during every chorus because he couldn't hit the high notes. By the end of the show Duff was taking control of the vocals. Duff, Dave, Matt, and Slash were completely on but Scott just fuckin lost it. Scott doesn't deserve to share the stage with such talent.

Thanks to toT J: It was a great show but they went on right after midnight and had to get off at 1:30. They didn't get to play Wish You Were Here or You Got No Right.

Thanks to LD: I have been a big fan of GNR/STP and of Velvet Revolver since its inception, but the New Year's show was horrible. I'm not going to complain about the crowd, because I knew what I was getting myself into by getting a spot at the front of the stage. I will only say that safety was a real issue and took away from my own enjoyment of the show. What really sucked though was the 4-hour wait, the sound, and the 1hr 20min play time. Considering the cost of the ticket, I feel I (we) deserve a refund!!! I agree with others who have posted that Velvet Revolver should have gone at 10pm ... whoever organized this evening completely failed. Everyone who bought the $100 ticket was there to see Velvet Revolver and the drinking, strippers and video were simply filler. We could have easily gone somewhere else for much cheaper and had a better time than having to be glued to one spot for so long. Again, the sound was the worst I have ever heard (and I have been to my fair share of shows!) I only knew the lyrics by reading Scott's lips and some songs took me some time to decipher, because I couldn't even hear the guitars clearly. Despite all of this, I tried to have a good time, but would it have killed the band to play a few extra songs? I was so excited about this show and seeing the band for a 2nd time, but was really disappointed and will definitely think twice before buying my next ticket.

Thanks to Scott: This was my 5th show, saw them last year in Vegas for NYE as well. I tend to agree with others, do something different for god's sake. I have been getting the same setlist since the Maxim Party in AC (summer of '04). Also, the chubby, tattooed wiggers body surfing was incredibly annoying. Looking forward to the new album and a new setlist.

Thanks to Dave: This show rocked hard. This was my third Velvet Revolver concert and even though not many songs were played, it had the best vibe going with it.

Thanks to Casper: Show was unbelievable. I was about 6 people back from the rail on Duff's side. I could have fought my way up to meet with the crew, but I'm not an asshole like some people were. Some drunk pricks were busting their way, spilling their drinks on me during some kick ass songs. I thought the sound was fine for such a loud band in a small venue. The set list was not to my standards however, but the energy was their. And the show was def. too short esp for the price we all payed.

The crowd was ok for me. I am used to shows being kinda crazy. I don't mind crowd surfing but it was the same two guys who were too drunk and kinda annoying. The pit was pretty weak on our side, not sure if there were others around me. They were kinda rolling around in the middle not really doing anything but taking up space. Also, this young couple in front of me were getting annoyed because I was going nuts, singing and jumping around the whole time. It's a rock show! You gotta be crazy with energy, the band wants it. Besides, I was not intentionally bumping you people, I was getting jacked all night from all angles. Gotta roll with the punches. Most of the crowd by the way were hard core for STP. The chants were going all night. I wonder if that pissed the band off at all.

Good to meet everyone, Robin, Jeff, MB, and others. All true fans who know how to party. And I did see Duff take the towel. I grabbed Chris and was like, "Holy shit, he's got the hotel towel!" Too bad the set list was... Sub par if I may be so negative. I really wanted to hear Negative Creep, Dead and Bloated, You Got No Right and Wish You Were Here. I wonder why they didn't do a creative set list.

Thanks to KBT24: Yeah - this was my third time seeing Velvet Revolver.

I bet they had to cut the list short because of the drunk idiots in the crowd. Starland might have even insisted on it. Alot of people had to get pulled out because they were crying or just couldn't take being crushed.

I was in the front and I had to spend half my time protecting myself. I also got hit in the head with some guy's feet.

Thanks to tomass74: Awesome show. That was the 5th time I saw them and the energy was definately the highest of them all. I almost didn't go but am glad I did.

Thanks to Greg: The same old setlist. Come on guys, can't you rehearse a few songs in 3 months? That's how much time they had off. I'm sorry, I was bored. I saw these guys 4 times and I love the record, but it's enough already of the same setist. I regretted not going to Detroit to see Motley Crue.

Thanks to Vergil: Band rocked but didn't play long enough - not worth the price of admission ($113) and that's just my opinion.

Thanks to Anonymous: OH my god that was the single best experience of my life. I was close to the front but then I fell. And when a whole bunch of people pulled me up they pulled me right up to the barricade so I was in the very front. DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF Slash for like the entire thing it was just amazing. Nothing but real sweaty, gritty, rock n roll!!!

Thanks to James M. : Anyone who is intelligent and knows when a band performs well and the sound quality is good would say that was not the case at this concert. First of all it was stupid how they came out at 12 and played for only fucking 90 minutes after waiting 3-4 hours for them to come on. The sound was also pathetic, you could not hear Scott, it was too loud that it was too distorted and you couldn't hear the guitars. The one song that sounded good was Fall to Pieces, but that's about it. Now don't get me wrong here I am a huge Velvet Revolver fan and have been to numerous shows, but this wasn't one of their best and they seemed rusty. I also would have liked if they changed the setlist up a bit but what can you do.

Thanks to Sarah: My best friend and I were looking forward to this show forever. I have to say that I am happy that I got out alive. We arrived at the venue at 3pm in order to secure a spot in front of the stage. We also had paid for Star parking which guarenteed us to be let in before the other concert goers. I have many complaints about this show, which I will rattle off. The venue happens to be an amazing place to see a concert because it is so tiny and the stage is very small. We were let inside the venue at 8pm but the show started at midnight.

The only entertainment was to either get drunk or watch the two dancers on stage. It got to be obnoxious waiting for so long for the band to come out. Luckily my friend and I both were in the center in the very front of the stage. When the band came out it was incredible. Scott pointed directly at me and looked me in the eye and said something. The sound was not very good so I have no idea what he said. The show was ruined for my friend and I when people from the back of the room, (mostly guys) started pushing and shoving. Security guards rescued crying girls from the crazy pit of people. They were litterally crying, which is plain wrong regardless of it being a rock concert. The fans really lacked respect for each other and it was a shame because you could not enjoy the show. My friend woke up this morning with her back bruised and back spasms. Despite everything we were able to keep our front and center spots for the duration of the show. The band played the usual setlist except for "Wish You Were Here" and "You Got No Right". This was my third Velvet Revolver show and I have yet to see them play "Come on Come In". I think that playing the same set over and over is getting a bit old. When the new album comes out I am sure the next tour will be very fresh. Lastly, I was very dissapointed with the security at the venue and I think they should have done a lot more to help the situation in the crowd.

When the show ended Matt started throwing his drumsticks. The crowd got even more insane and I ducked down because I realized losing an eye over a drumstick would be ridiculous. When I looked up Matt came over to me and handed me a drumstick. My friend and I asked security to pull us out of the pit and we went out a side exit. We saw the tour bus and the bands Escalades and waited for them to come out. Dave, Duff and their wives went directly into their car without signing anything. When Scott came out people started running toward him and he had trouble getting into his car. He signed a few things for people and then left. We stuck around to meet Matt. This was the highlight of the entire experience for me. When Matt came out he signed everything people gave him and took lots of pictures. He was very friendly and gracious. My friend and I left with two signed drumsticks and each with a kiss on the cheek from Matt.

I don't think I will attend another GA show again unless it is in NY where they have much better security. Even though I have many complaints I am still glad I went. It was a very memorable New Year's Eve.

Thanks to MAK: Worst show I have ever seen...Starland Ballroom did an awful job I will never go to see another show there. Once Velvet Revolver came on it was ok but Starland Ballroom sucks.

Thanks to STEAK: Not impressed…

This was my fifth Velvet Revolver show, and no matter how good the shows were I was never really disappointed… except for last night. The venue was great (size wise), cause Starland Ballroom is just like a big bar, so seeing a big act there should be amazing…

-Doors opened at 8pm, followed by open bar till 9:30pm, but as the place filled up you’d get a good spot and not want to keep going to the bar and lose your spot.

-Nothing happened till MIDNIGHT! So we basically stood around for 4 hours with a shitty DJ playing the occasional good song. Meanwhile every hour or so 2 “dancers” (wannabe strippers) would come out and dance in skimpy outfits… but they weren’t even hot and nobody wanted to see that shit. But it’s not like we had a choice. It was packed and we were all just waiting for Velvet Revolver.

-FOUR HOURS LATER… Velvet Revolver comes out (right after the ball dropped) and they rocked. But with it being a ‘New Years Eve’ show they could have at least played something other than the same old fucken set list. They didn’t even do any of their non-STP/GnR covers. NOTHING… just the same old stuff (which I still love) but come on, its fucken NYE, make it a little special.

-Meanwhile you had all the WHITE TRASH moshing and being assholes through out the front of the crowd, and throwing shit. (Plus 2 of them threw shit on stage which the band didn’t appreciate.) People like that should just stay home get drunk in their sheds and fuck their sisters.

So all in all, it was great seeing Velvet Revolver, but I expected more from a New Year's Eve concert. Not waiting 4 hours only for Velvet Revolver to come on and play for 90 minutes.

Thanks to Duffdiver: I am SOOO burnt....functioning on TWELVE hours of sleep over the past three days and I feel like I drove 1,000 miles!!!!!

But I will say that despite everything that everyone else has mentioned, it was an AWESOME New Year, yes the sound was bad (though there were only a few times that I couldn't hear Scotty), the crowd was out of control (but I knew that going in), the fact that they went on at midnight (which it appears that everyone is ASSUMING was the band's decision, as well as the decision to play a 90 minute set, which MIGHT have been Starland's decision) and the lack of variety in the set (believe me I tried to get them to play Negative Creep).

The set list did include WYWH and YGNR (and is STILL taped to the dashboard of my car!) But I don't think that slowing it down at that point would have been appropriate given the intensity.

The guys played their hearts out (a totally different show than from the night before) and remember they have not played together since September (coming off the HUGE tour) and the random Maxim after party show in the beginning of December. Overall, I thought that they all put their hearts into it and gave a great show. Duff came through on his promise that it would be HOT SWEATY and FEROCIOUS.

As for the open bar, I wasn't giving up my spot on the rail, but an open bar for an hour and half, you have to know that you're not going to get many drinks in that time period as EVERYONE will be clamoring for the same free drinks.

The bruises, scrapes, sore muscles, hoarseness, and utter lack of sleep was worth EVERY penny, especially given the fact that after the Hard Rock show, when Peebs and I were talking to one of the roadies, he thought he was going to have 6 months off. I'm so glad that the boys decided to ring in 06 on the east coast and I am even happier that I got to be there for it!!!!!

Going to sleep soon, pics to be developed tomorrow, will post when I get them back.....

But before I go...one last thing.....an open rant to the A$$HOLES who were chanting "STP STP" (to which I SCREAMED in reply Velvet Revolver) and the TOOL who brought the "AXL WHO?" sign to the AC show while I was an STP and GNR fan, give the guys a break for Christ's sake. They have been Velvet Revolver since 2003....almost THREE years.....appreciate them for the bands that they were....but ALSO appreciate them for the band that they are.....Velvet FUCKING REVOLVER!!!!!

Thanks to RevolvingVelvet Revolver: I'm sorry, but I refuse to say that I enjoyed this show. Honestly, I've seen many New Years shows and each time the bands have done something special. Either cover an album, play some rare material, play an entire album....anything. This was a dissapointing show...I've seen Velvet Revolver 11 times and this was the worst performance. The sound was horrible and you could hear anything. There was no opening band and if you were there for the open bar you had to wait for 4 hours before the band come on. This is ridiculous....they played a shorter than normal set and nothing on the set was different. I mean they could have played at least 'Come On, Come In' or 'Money' or anything they've put on a soundtrack. Something special for New Years....and the open bar was a joke! I mean we payed $100 for a 90 minute open bar of shit, followed by 2 1/2 hours of nothing and then a weak 90 minute terrible sounding set. Sorry for being such a downer, but I am so pissed that I wasted my New Year's watching my favorite band suck.

Thanks to Velvet Revolver Fan 88: FUCKING....AMAZING....aside from all the dicks who were drunk n the crowd surfing fuckfaces. Wata fucking concert....I seen them at the Borgata the night before. It was good, but this was fuckin great. Can't wait till the new album. Velvet FUKN REVOLVER.....

Thanks to Ericaaa: AMAZING. I was up at the front on the rail on Slash's side and I had to be pulled out of the crowd during Sucker Train Blues because I'm so tiny and I couldn't breathe. I got to watch the show outside the rails right at the edge of the stage -- it was amazing.

I got to touch Slash's shoe and leg when he was sitting on that thing!! *dies*

One problem -- where's the new stuff? Where was D&B? And YGNR? And Wish You Were Here? And COCI???

Otherwise... I LOVED IT and a few hours later, I'm still deaf in my right ear. Duff was right -- it was fucking FEROCIOUS AND SWEATY.

Thanks to aremag: My question would be....why didn't Velvet Revolver come on at 10PM. Play a good 2 hour set with some covers and new stuff...ring in the new year. Play another song or two then end the show. I thought the sound sucked and the crowd had no pit etiquette. I spent most of the night trying to save the smaller women from not being crushed.

Don't get me wrong...Velvet Revolver did rock ...but the cons outweighed the pros for this show.

Thanks to Darkburst: Best New Year ever. The band kicked ass though the show could've been a bit longer. Maybe I'm just spoiled by memories of 3 hour G N' R shows. My girlfriend and I were right in front of Slash about three people back. It was awesome to be so close to the stage (5 or 6 ft?). Everyone made it over to that side for a bit so we got to see the band up close. It sucks that some people were being assholes in the pit area behind us, but that always happens. I'm not against people dancing in the pit or crowd surfing... just be respectful of the other people around you. No one likes to get crushed. Overall the crowd in NJ is better than NYC for rock shows... people in NYC always act 'too cool' to really get into it.

I knocked one of Matts drum sticks out the air and my girlfriend caught it. She's stoked because she just started playing drums and felt it was a good omen. I snagged one of Duffs picks off the floor but gave it to a dude in front of me since he really seemed to want it and we just scored the drumstick. He was grateful and shook my hand when I gave him the pick, I think he was expecting me to keep it for myself.

It was worth it to me and my woman. There were plenty of bar areas, so we scored as many free drinks as we wanted (4 for her 5 for me), the venue was small enough that it felt very intimate and the band played and performed great even if it was pretty much their normal set list. It's not often that more mainstream bands play small venue like that where you can get really close to the stage. Can you really put a price on being five feet from Slash for an hour and a half?

Thanks to slimshady26: Great show...but WAY TOO SHORT!! You would think they would've done something special to ring in the New Year, especially when everybody payed $100 (thankfully I got my tickets off Ebay for about 1/2 that). I was also standing right in front of Slash...it was pretty easy to get up there which was cool. It was just a very typical, basic setlist...nothing special at all. They started right after midnight and were done by 1:30. Scott didn't go on any rants.

Good thing I drank in the parking lot during the "open bar". Walked in around 9:00 and couldn't get a drink for the open bar b/c there were only 3 bartenders trying to serve thousands of people. However, I was well aware that it would be impossible to get a drink and was not taken by the "open bar" scam (had a much better open bar in my car instead).

Then we got the privledge of watching about 3 hours of old live footage of Elvis and the Rolling Stones on the big tv.....yeah..that was great... oh yeah, and the dancers with guts.

I did enjoy the show, was standing about 6 feet from Slash, right next to some really foul smelling hippies. I have no problems with people crowd surfing or the pushing near the front of the stage...what do you expect...your standing at the front of the stage, it's guaranteed to be like that at every show at any place. If you can't stand your ground up there, you can't really complain...just go back to where it isn't crazy. Everybody is just trying to get to the front (like yourself).

The place was not as crowded as it was the last time they played there.

All in all, it was just a very typical show...really was expecting something special for the holiday and for the price tag of $100 (although I only paid $55 per ticket through ebay).

Thanks to Peebs: Can you put a price on being AT THE RAIL the entire show in front of Duff and Dave and have Scott pop through Duff's legs RIGHT AT US? We were about 2 feet from them the entire show.

No you can't!! Can you put a price on Duff taking the towel sign you made (15 minutes before the show in the hotel room with the hotel towel LOL) reading it and giving it to the roadies? No you can't!!

The show was great, horrible horrible sound quality though. You could hardly hear Scott through out the entire show. But they were FULL of energy and delivered the "hot, sweaty and ferocious" show they promised! Slash spent an enormous amount of time on the speakers in front of us on the left side of the stage. I took pictures, I'll develop them tomorrow. I can't promise great quality because like people said, you had to fight off the moshers and crowd surfers so I was not very steady.

Met some great people from the board, had a hotel room pre-party. And let me tell you, that starparking pass was the BEST $15 investment I EVER MADE!

Now, I need to sleep (I had 3 hours of sleep before driving back to NY). Will post more later!

Thanks to Top Hatted-One: We were second row but it was absolutely impossible to focus on the band. I've seen them 7 times. This show was the worst with all stupid asshole kids pushing. I'm 22 and I can't stand those fucks! The 2nd half we decided to move back behind the pit where people were actually enjoying the show. There's nothing like have the band rock out right in front of you but last night it was just not worth it and it didn't help that the show was shorter and no YGNR. They came on at 12 and ended before 1:30 and same same songs I've been listening to for 2 years. It's the 1st time I listen to those songs in a good 6 months..I'm really sick of em! Next time I'm only shelling out $100 bucks once they come back with new songs. It was a good show but the bad definitely outweighed the good. This was my 7th time seeing them and the 1st I kinda left feeling as if we didn't get our money's worth. I would've dealt with all the assholes pushing if they came on earlier and Come On, Come In at least. They didn't even play YGNR which they play every show yet they didn't on New Year's and it is in mostly everyone's top favorites list! And no Wish You Were Here which is beautiful. I don't think they wanted to stick to the harder songs especially since the setlist included those songs and they knew the crowd was going to be nuts having already played there and knowing how small it is. The problem was they started way to late, people were getting really angry then they had to be out before 1:30.

I had no problem getting free beers as my brother held my spot and the people who have been waiting in the front with you didn't give anyone a problem getting back to their spot. I definitely agree that it's worth the bruises but having seen Velvet Revolver 6 other times before we didn't think it was worth it especially since it was never this bad. I mean trust me on this..we were trying everything to focus on the stage but we were in absolutely the worst stop it was impossible. We got in line at around 6 usually I like to get there no later than 5. That is the best way to do it because the 1st 2 rows aren't as bad because you have the railing and you're not tossed in every direction. but since it was cold and I had already seen Velvet Revolver I didn't care if we weren't front row but I still wanted to focus on the damn show! Nothing you can do about it. Next time I will go back to lining up early, if no one in my party wants to do so then i'll go alone. lol First I want to make sure they are playing at least 1 song I haven't heard a billion times though.

Thanks to Oceanmuzik: The moshing was ridiculous and it was a bit scary at times. I thought we would all get crushed. That was just as bad as the last STP show I saw, if not worse. I stayed far away from it that time. My body is aching today.

I took a bunch as well but I'm not sure they came out with all the pushing and shoving I couldn't keep the camera still. I'll probably get back a bunch of blurs. If I had known that cameras were allowed, I would have taken my dig camera ----oh well. I'll try to find a 1 hour place that does photo cd's.

But Velvet Revolver ROCKED!!! They WERE hot and ferocious! The guys were smokin!

I loved every minute of it!

Thanks to Jim Jorgensen: Holy shit what a show, happy fucking New Year. Scott sporting his new beard looked great, the whole band looked great. Awesome show, went crowd surfing for the first time. Don't remember the set list but I'm sure someone will have it. All I know is that they didn't play anything new, just the usual set. Anyway Happy New Year everybody!!

Thanks to Rich I : I guess Scott wasn't ready to bring in 2006 like he said he was! What I expect from a band that is charging $100 a ticket, is an incredible "Full" performance. I can't believe what I saw, 1st coming out after the ball dropped sucked, 11 pm would have been perfect, they have enough material to play 2hrs...they played more songs and put on a better F'g show, when I paid $35. 2nd, Hhw can you not play Come On Come In (you've only played that 7 x's,according to this site.), You got no right and Wish you were here, I really don't wanna hear any bullshit about an 1:30 curfew, you had since @ least 10 pm. What the hell was up with those 2 dancers, at least let them strip, pathetic!!! I'm totally disgusted in the way the club handled the nite to the band just F'g it's fans. Hey Scott, get off your Primadonna ass and rock the world like you can!

What, you couldn't give us a taste of any new stuff, hell I would have loved to hear some covers, No More No More, Negative Creep, Surrender (which you did on this stage in '04.)

I guess the Stones were right, YOU CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT! I really thought this was going to be a special nite, a little acoustic, a little new stuff, some covers..I guess I set my expectations way to high!!! What I got was a frontman that forgot to do what he does best, bring the crowd to it's knees and rock the roof off the Joint and leave us in awe! I'm sad and disappointed to say that I had to tell my 8 and 5 yr olds that Velvet Revolver didn't bring their "A" game to a New Year's Eve Party in a small N.J. town. Peace
