Thanks to Snozey: Well I dunno did we all see the same gig???? I thought it was an amazing show & thoroughly enjoyed the combination of VR, GnR & STP songs...the sound seemed fine to me! The support band (Year Long Disaster) were also brilliant good songs with fantastic riffs, I even purchased their LP which is shit hot by they way! Followed up by Alice in Chains in the lead up to VR...doesn't get much better than that!Even though this was my first VR gig I was not disappointed, their performance was top notch to me! They played a long enough set and I didn't get the impression they rushed through their songs...not one fault in my eyes.

Scott did say it would be their last tour but there's talks of a 3rd album so who knows. Anyway, even if it was their last tour I feel privilaged to have seen them and have nothing but happy memories, one of the best nights of my life....to see Slash in the flesh was an achievement in itself, they were all amazing and put on a great show. I have been to a lot of gigs and VR are right up there with the top flyers! I still have the smile on my face to prove it...seems like I'm the only one...ach well maybe some people are hard to please! As long as the true fans enjoyed it that's all that matters.

This may be the end of VR but just the beginning for the newly reformed STP...Scott back to where he belongs! I'm sure Slash has other projects up his sleeve, either way we won't be disappointed...apart from the miserable sods who don't know how to enjoy themselves and appreciate watching such legends in action!!

Thanks to Gordon: Having really enjoyed the last show VR did at the Glasgow SECC (audio wise rather than venue wise) I had high expectations of the show at the Carling Academy.

The support act (I still have no idea who they are) did not appeal to me and it seemed to drag on and on before VR came onto the stage. At around 9:20pm they came on blazing and my initial impression was WHO THE HELL ARRANGED THE SOUND? To me, the sound was terrible, though the band themselves seemed to be rushing through the tracks, and then during a break Scott mentions that this was the last VR tour? A few of us looked at each other but everyone else did not appear to hear the comment, but I blamed the poor sound setup for that!

Personally, I felt letdown by the show. The band appeared to be going through the motions and on a few occasions I was standign there trying to work out what track was being played as the sound was so bad the vocals became cut, the guitars killed everything and I dunno, I just felt I would have been better off remembering ther SECC gig as that at least seemed to have a bit of HEART AND SOUL in it.

I'm sure I am in the minority with the feelings of last night's show, but is anyone was honest enough, can they actually say that it was money well spent?

Thanks to Dave: Sadly, after seeing them several times now..this was their poorest show ever!I was sad to witness it and only the most naive fan would say it was a good performance!

Thanks to James Oliphant: LAST TOUR! Scott said during the show "You're witnessing something special...as this is velvet revolvers last tour!"
there was definately something missing at this gig, it lacked something major and im guessing it would be due to that...i read that the band were on late the last few gigs and people thought it may be due to problems within the band and not the old story of faulty gear (though scotts mic did play up a few times) we now know that they are indeed having problems...pretty sad that they may never tour again, but lets just hope its just what happened with guns, axl saying it was the last tour and yet they went on for a good few more years.

Thanks to amcf: my 4th time seeing VR and if what scot says comes true that this is VR last tour i would just like to say it was i really good show. I would,ve liked to have seen them at the barrowland though
