September 25Scott joins Camp Freddy tonight at House Of Blues in Anaheim.Blabbermouth Reports: Scott, Courtney Love and Jerry Cantrell are among the special guests expected to perform with Camp Freddy tonight at a private birthday party at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, CA. The star-studded event will also include comedic performances by Jay Leno and Robin Williams. September 24'Fall To Pieces' #1 on Billboard Mainstream RockThanks to John Gardner and Michael Maxson:'Fall To Pieces' hit the #1 position on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Charts. It's at #8 on the Modern Rock Charts, while 'Contraband' is at #34 on the Billboard 200! New tour date: 11/23 Mt. Clemens, MI.The band added another tour date to their schedule: they will play the Emerald Theatre in Mt. Clemens, MI on November 23! Tickets will go on sale on October 9 at 10 am through Ticketmaster. According to Erica, only 200 tickets will be made available to the public, making them very hard to get! September 20Emmy Awards TV Guide aftershow party infoVR performed at the TV Guide Emmy Awards afterparty in Los Angeles last night, and thanks to Wire Image and Getty Images, there are some pictures available of the party and the performance. September 19New York, NY show info incl. surprise setVR performed twice in New York over the weekend, while Slash even made three appearances. After Slash's guest appearance with James Brown and Lenny Kravitz at the Rock Through Time event on Friday night, the band minus Dave (who was late) played a three-song acoustic set at Snitch: Dead Flowers (Rolling Stones), Surrender (Chreap Trick) and Used To Love Her (GN'R). On Saturday, the band played their own full performance at Rock Through Time: Sucker Train Blues, Do It For The Kids, Headspace, Big Machine, Crackerman, Fall To Pieces, It's So Easy, Sex Type Thing, Set Me Free, Slither, I Want To Be Sedated (Ramones cover), Surrender. The band was joined on stage by The Strokes' lead singer Julian Casablancas and guitarist Nick Valensi for 'I Want To Be Sedated'. VR to present at World Music AwardsThanks to Wendybird: Contrary to what was reported previously, VR will NOT be performing live on this year's World Music Awards. Instead they will present an award. The event will be held at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV tomorrow, September 15. The show will be broadcast by ABC from 9-11 PM. Other presenting or performing artists include: Usher, Josh Groban, Kanye West, Marc Anthony, Avril Lavigne, Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, Hilary Duff, Whitney Houston, Hoobastank, Black Eyed Peas, Destiny's Child, Norah Jones, Sean Paul, Christina Milian and Seal. September 13'Fall To Pieces' video to be banned in the UK??Thanks to Lee Simpson, here's some disturbing info from today's Daily Star newspaper from the UK: "VELVET Revolver are on a collision course with TV bosses over an explicit video. The promo to new single 'Fall to Pieces' is set to be banned because of its graphic content - the video recounts their singer Scott Weiland's battle with heroin and features scenes of drug-taking and nudity. A source close to the band said: "They really didn't hold back and it gets pretty gory"." 'Fall To Pieces' single released in Europe todayToday's the official release date for the 'Fall To Pieces' single in (mainland) Europe, though in some countries the release has been available since Thursday. In addition to the title track, the single features the Cheap Trick cover 'Surrender'. There's also a 3-track version with the music video as an added bonus. Next month (Oct 4), the UK version will also be released. A DVD with music videos (Slither, Fall To Pieces, 'Making Of' Slither) and a photo gallery will be added there! The collaborative performances will take place on Friday, September 17 at the Roseland Roseland Ballroom in New York City. He spoke about new songs the band has been working on, that the band will be back in Europe later sometime for a full-blown tour.
