Thanks to Paul F: Saw Velvet Revolver through the eyes of my 12-year old son.

Walked into the Wiltern ... sound system playing The Stooges and other stuff ... son asks"Do they look cool?" "Who?" "Velvet Revolver." "They aren't on stage yet ..." He thought the DJ was the band 'cuz it was loud and 'cuz he was too short to see. Twenty minutes later, Velvet Revolver hits the stage. Sucker Train Blues. Duff is standing to Sorum's right (our left) - he's up on something ... the rest of the band is on the edge of the stage ... place is going crazy ... sound is amazing.I look back at my kid, we're leaning on a wall. All I can say is that he looks like the guy in that old Maxell cassette ad. His skin is peeling back - he looks like he's in a tornado - pinned to the wall - that's how powerful it is, how unprepared for what a balls out band looks and sounds like. We leave after Slither. He's 12 and he's tired. I understand. Outside - wearing his black concert t-shirt: "Daddy ... that was great. Thanks. "But the girls were dressed like sluts." LOL.Ah - youth.

Give him time ... he's only 12.

Peace.

Thanks to Zayde: At the Wiltern we saw them both nights. We were blown away. We had only heard "Slither" going in but afterwards it was if we knew them personally. Scott's eyes had this possesive fury in them that made me crumble inside when he looked in my direction. Slash ripped on his guitar and brought the top hat. Duff had this 'cool' aura about him. Dave noticed me. He looked in my direction several times. The second night the intensity was even higher.

Thanks to ZaoShu: The show was great, a few sound issues.. guitar and mic feedback but nothing too terrible. I happened to be standing in a bad place, people in the balcony (whatever you call it) kept throwing beer and plastic cups down, it seems like they all hit me! And this girl right behind me passed out and came crashing down on me and my husband.... not fun. The music rocked and we even enjoyed the Living Things.

Thanks to Jake: Awesome show!!!

The band tended to speak less during this show. After only a few bracelets were given to early attendees to stand in the front standing area, Scott invited all concert-goers to the standing area to rock out. Slash introduced "Set Me Free" saying that the song came out when they were still know as the "Project with Scott, Slash, Matt, Duff and Dave." They rocked the show and went through their regular line-up of songs, but ended this show with "Bodies" by the Sex Pistols. Scott said of the last song that this band changed the face of rock n' roll in 1976. Velvet Revolver is doing the same now. Drew Barrymore and Cindy Crawford attended the concert.

Thanks to Jay Malice: As Scott zealously proclaimed, rock and roll is very much alive! Every aspect of this show absolutely rocked - from the gods on stage to sound and lighting. Before the show began, some employee wouldn't let some of us down to the pit. I temporarily had to watch the show from a far. However after a few songs, Scott wanted the fanantical fans to get down to the front. Scott's chants were all I needed to hear as I eargerly rushed to the front. That's when the show really took off (for me at least). Something about Slash's world-famous solos and Scott intensity on stage...I don't think I've yelled and flicked-off so much in my life- what a show! Get off the couch and see them! p.s. Axl who?

Thanks to Christine: Wednesday night f'n rocked!!! Blew away Tuesday's crowd, and I could tell the guys were really enjoying all our love. The audio at the Wiltern sucks but they still were completely awesome!! Slash made a point to thank us, his hometown crowd, for showing our appreciation (L.A. crowds tend to 'play it cool' at shows, but last night, even the coolest person there was on their feet!!). He seemed truly impressed with the crowd, but you know they impresssed us more. And let me mention I got some of the best photos ever!! I’ll share soon. In the meantime keep on rockin' emails welcome from all!

Thanks to Amanda: Amazing show. I didn't get to see it from the front though I was on the side where the band walked out. First of all 'Crackerman' and 'Headspace' were phenomenal. If any of you have heard 'Crackerman' you know that Scott talks through the megaphone. It sounded exactly like that at the concert. I got there at around 8 pm. I saw a couple of the opening bands songs. They were called Living Things. They were ok. But, Velvet Revolver was amazing they ran on and were phenomanal from the very first song. Scott is the best frontman ever. He constantly moved and was active. Duff kind of paced back and forth on the stage. Slash was also moving constantly. All Dave did the whole time was bang his head. Matt looked very cool. Sometimes he played so fast it looked like he had four arms. Also by the end of the concert they all had their shirts off.

Thanks to Michelle: The show was awesome. I had never seen Scott perform, but he was magnetic, as well as Slash, Duff, Matt and Dave. I've never been to a show before where I wanted to keep my eyes on everyone. The energy was high from the crowd and the show rocked. It was loud and sometime I had a hard time hearing Scott's vocals, but it was ok.....as said on previous posts, they played a different last song..and they came out for 2 encores. They played for about an hour and 15 minutes. The crowd went crazy for the Gunner and STP songs, as that is what most people know. I bought the CD when it came out on Tuesday and it is great...I really hope this band makes it for a long time. It is exciting to be excited about rock music again and this is coming from a 33-year old girly girl.

Thanks to Anon: They played the same set list with the exception of the last tune (much to my dismay), replacing Negative Creep with Bodies. The show seemed a bit short but I'm sure it's because of this flu that everyone has been reporting. All in all, a badass rock show that epitomized the true heart and soul of rock. It was kind of funny when the guitar solos wouldn't cut through the endless barrage of noise. Maybe you could play anything in a rock band as long as you have the energy and spirit. You could only hear the high end of Slash's playing, which was a shame but also truly beautiful. Could anyone hear the bass? Kidding with all of you, Anon.

Thanks to Dan T: First of all, let me start by correcting 1 small error in the set list. The last song played was not Negative Creep----it was Bodies. I just got back from the show, so I'm really fuckin tired and I don't feel like writing a long review. I'm just gonna keep it short and sweet. All you need to know is that the show was fuckin killer. Best show I've seen other than the Roxy show ;P The crowd was fuckin nuts. The crowd was so loud you wouldn't believe it. Amazing show. Had a great time.
