Thanks to Suzy-Q: The Lizard King is back...They played it all and didn't have to. The GNR and STP wasn't even necessary, loved it, but not necessary. Could have listened to them play their entire new CD and gone home just as wet HA!. The only disappointment was the lack of turn out by Birmingham and surrounding areas. Hell, we drove an hour there and back and still had to be at work by 7am, bunch of rookies,(we did get better seats due to this fact). Love to the Boys, ROCK ON!

Thanks to Rachel Cooper: That was the best concert I have ever been to in my entire life! Me and my friends waited 6 hours for that and drove there from Atlanta. We were really tired of waiting by the time the first band came on and we were ready to go....it took Velvet Revolver a while to get on after the first band but I would wait 6 weeks to see them again! There was never a dull moment the whole time! I was front row and iI nearly died when I saw Slash right in front of me! We caught Scott's sweat towel and Matt Sorum's drumstick... I dunno if that's just a weird girl thing but we freaked out! That was the most amazing concert I have ever been to! Beat that Axl!

Thanks to Marti Slade: I just seen Revolver twice and they were awesome. They played most of their songs, STP, Gn'r and an Aerosmith song. I have been to tons of concerts and Birmingham was the best show I have ever been to. It was even better than seeing Aerosmith live.

Thanks to Chase Arrington: Velvet Revolver tore the roof off. They perform really well live. They kicked ass pretty much. I would love to see them again in the future. Rock and fuckin Roll!

Thanks to Kat: Wow that's the only words that can describe the way I felt when I saw Velvet Revolver. I've been to a few concerts but that was the best one I have ever been to. The atmosphere was great both the band and the crowd looked liked they were having an amazing time (I know I was). I doubt I will ever go to another concert that will give me the emotional charge that I got from the Velvet Revolver show. Slash played solos that gave me chills. Wow that's all I can say.

Thanks to Jay Vick: The show was absolutely breath-taking! All the songs were played to perfection. Scott's voice was amazing! This is by far the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life. These guys are total rock gods! If anyone has the chance to see them, then go! Also, I'd like to say that this is a fan's band. They were great to the fans and I think the audience here in Birmingham was very good to them. The band seemed to be so pumped up from the crowd. I was reading other reviews and it seemed the only small complaint was that the shows weren't long enough. Well this show went 90 minutes. I think the guys wanted to keep going with the show. You could just tell they were having a great time. I can't say which song was the best because they were all great in their own way. I know that when Sucker Train Blues started, I literally was almost in tears because I never thought I'd get the chance to see Slash. Thanks Velvet Revolver for the best time of my life!

Thanks to Suzanne Robertson: First off, I must say that never in my previous concert experiences have I ever seen a show like this. Being a huge GNR fan, I was extremely pumped to see Slash, Duff & Matt. The show was incredible. I was right up there on the right in front of where the guys could walk out and let me tell you, I could have died seeing those guys. Scott was awesome as well--he is truly an amazing performer. Velvet Revolver is one (if not the one) of the greatest bands out there today. The crowd (and most defintely myself) really got into the GNR stuff as well as the STP stuff. When they broke out "It's So Easy" I went nuts--and so did most of the crowd which just fueled the bands burning rock-n-fucking roll flame. "Mr. Brownstone" was incredible. Hell, the entire show was incredible. Come back and rock Alabama, Velvet Revolver!!

Thanks to Dean: Thanx dudes for giving us a show Axl never did when G&R came a few years ago! These guys are at the top of their game. It's a must see show. I have to say. Good things come to those who wait. Thanx again dudes for kicking ass in Alabama!

Thanks to Jake: The Birmingham show was amazing! The stage was very close to the fans creating a very intimate feel. The combination of STP and GnR songs pumped up the crowd immensly. The thing I liked the most was that even though the crowd had numerous young females (no doubt coming only for 'Fall to Pieces' the only ballad they played was that song. All others were staright forward kick your ass RnFnR!! Slash signed autographs for a couple hours afterwards too. Greatest night of my life. Incredible to say the least!

Thanks to Rob: This show was just awesome. The lighting was timed with the music perfectly. Slash was just on. Scott is an amazing entertainer. Sex Type Thing, boy they nailed that freaking song. The crowd sung all the old GnR and STP songs loudly. You could tell it made the band happy and gave them more energy. The songs were all powerful and just played well. Scot did a damn good job on the GnR songs.

Thanks to stontemplpilot: Got to the auditorium way early and hung around for awhile and met some of the guys that work the show. Doors opened around 7:10, got front row and the opening act came on about 8:05. They lasted about half an hour. Velvet Revolver came on around 9 something and it was killer. Very powerful, Scott and the band was very energetic, setlist was just about the same from all the other shows, they played "No More No More". The entire band was very in to it and happy and the crowd was a lot better than I thought it would be. During the show Scott wore my hat on stage during Sex Type Thing and after Set Me Free Matt gave me a drumstick. After the show me and my brother got backstage to get something signed (thanks Rocco!). Also met Cattivo from the forum, he's pretty cool. It was awesome, to make a long story short, we got to meet the entire band except for Slash, Matt hung around for a good while, Duff and Dave passed through and said whats up and signed some autographs, they were all awesome and Scott came and we talked for a few minutes and got an autograph and he is awesome! Go see Velvet Revolver any chance that you get!

Thanks to Marty Hayes: What can I say, the guys kicked ass! Whether or not you want to call them a supergroup, that's what they are! The energy and enthusiam they exert for a bunch of over 30 something (some 40) is amazing! Believe me, I'm 37 and can only wonder, especially with all the excess these guys participated with back in the 80's and 90's(God has it been that long?) kicking off their set with the new stuff, playing a few GNR and STP songs, then on the second encore, finishing up with "Slither", this is a show, definetly not to be missed!!!! They sure impressed this ol boy and about 30,000 others!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Todd Barksdale: The show was excellent. Pretty much the standard set list except for the encores. They played Mr. Brownstone and Used to Love Her plus one other song I didn't know. Then they came out a second time to finish with Slither. The sound and stage show were great. It is nice to see a real rock and roll band.

Thanks to Ryan: Best show I have ever been to hands down. I was front row center the whole time and I waited four hours in line. Everyone was at their best, though it was funny when Slash busted his ass and broke a string but he pulled it well.

Thanks to Smoking Guns: I know everyone says this. But this is the greatest Rock n Roll show I have ever been too. Before the show, Slash was supposed to meet some fans at Bailey Brothers Music store. He couldn't make it, so he gave everyone meet and greet tickets that showed up for after the show. So I went down to the show at Boutwell. I thought the show was awesome!!!!!! STP songs were Crackerman and Sex Type Thing. The GNR songs were It's So Easy, Mr. Brownstone and Used to Lover Her. They had not played Mr. Brownstone much lately and I was glad to hear it. Big Machine sounded great for some reason. Illegal i was awesome. Every fucking song rocked so hard. Everyone there was just in awe. Weiland is such a bad ass front man. Slash was simply amazing. Slither was my favorite part of the night. That song rocks so focking hard. I also enjoyed No More No More very much so. So after the show is when the magic happened for me. I met Slash. I am a lefty and busted out a 2004 black lefty Les Paul Standard. Slash goes, "awww, a lefty!!!." I told Slash "this is the greatest moment of my life and you are the reason I ever picked up a guitar." He shook my hand and security dragged me away. But not before I got my Les Paul signed and the Legends Slash Tribute signed. I will always deeply appreciate the time out Slash took after a show to see his fans. Slahs is the greatest guitar player of my era and one of the very finest ever!!!!! Slash and Velvet Revolver, thank you so much for making my night so very special. Sorum, Duff, Dave and Scott, you guys are the very best band I have seen in a very, very long time. Wow is all I have to say.
