Thanks to Richard Coupland: Well hello, I went to this gig and was truely amazing, I met the band backstage and Slash is such a cool person to meet. I hope he read this, I have got his signature and Duff's, Matt's and Dave's. Matt is by far the bestest and most coolest drummer ever. I hope they play local for me near Middlesbrough was a bit of a journey to get too but was well worth it. Slash AND Duff ARE SO INSPIRING < ROCK ON

Thanks to James Pratt: I was at the gig which was on 14th January 2005 at the SECC which was o.k! This time June 5th 2005 took rocking to another level completely. They sounded so much better looked more relaxed. GaGas were good 2 watch, Biffy Clyro did not impress me at all.

When we were waiting for Velvet Revolver to come on. Pitch black. The opening rift to 'Sucker Train Blues' crowd goes 'mental' the bit where the song kicks off explosion then the guys appear with Scott and his swagger and Slash with his stance along with Duff looking extremely cool with Dave and Matt following the others examples. Great cover of Wish You Were Here. LEGENDS COME BACK SOON PLEASE

Thanks to Linda: This gig was absolutely outstanding to say the least. The gig in January was excellent too, but June 9th was definitely better.

Scott is a supremely sexy, talented and amazing front man....not to mention coolness personified himself....Slash. I have always been a fan of both the Gunners and STP, but Velvet Revolver are by far a more class act. Can't wait to see the boys again.

Thanks to J-Man: Fucking awesome. Best gig I've been to yet. Rock and fuckin roll motherfuckers! Just another wee note to say that the Ga* Ga*s were cool I had neva really took notice of them before but they opened my eyes. Well done guys. As for Biffy Clyro I agree with all you that said they sucked. They seriously bit me and the arse whoever asked them to support the amazing Velvet Revolver should be strung up from the nearest lamp post by his testicles. And I just wanna say again Velvet Revolver you fuckin rock and I can't wait to get tickets to another one of your gigs!

Thanks to Andrew: There was a major build up for the concert as the we all waited in suspense for the band arrive on stage and when they did the whole hall exploded. Everybody went mental to create the the electric atmosphere that was about. The whole band's performance was top notch and they got the praise that they deserved. It was good to hear some GnR classics e.g. Mr. Brownstone and It's So Easy. The crowd went wild when Duff played the famous intro to It's So Easy and the whole hall was singing along with all the words. You would be hard pushed to find a band that deliver a better concert than the Velvet Revolver guys they really know how to do it well. Their fans also know how to enjoy their concerts also with every one singing along with Scott Weiland. My advice is to everyone is go and see this band live you will see what will probably be the best show of your life!

Thanks to Dice: Fucking amazing the best gig I have ever been to even better than the gig in January. Sound quality was fucking great and the band was amazing. They are the only rock n' roll band in the world and thank fuck we have them. The support bands were fuckin awful I almost fell asleep, who booked those guys! Every song was amazing I hope Velvet Revolver come back to Scotland soon. They are the only band out just now who understand what rock n' roll is all about.

Thanks to Frey: Velvet Revolver TOTALLY FUCKIN ROCKED!!! That was the first time I saw them and they were fuckin amazing! I am a proud Slash fan, he is my idol, my god and my reason to live and seeing him rock like fuck last week just made my life!! I've been waiting my whole life to see such an amazing band and that proved to me that rock is definetley not going away for a long time. Plus Scott's views on all those fuckers spreading shit about the band were superb. Downfall I have to say tho was The Gagas... just not for me please! But really, back to the point, Velvet Revolver TOTALLY RULE! AND Slash .... YOUR A GOD!

Thanks to Slashs_girl: WOW!

I've seen Velvet Revolver play everytime they've been in Glasgow and this time was definetly the best. Slash was amazing, Duff was hot and Scott. Well could you get a better frontman he was like soooooo great. When they played Wish You Were Here I was like totally blown away best song was It's So Easy tho. I'll be there next time definitely!

Thanks to Winwood: FUKIN ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!! The best show I have eva been to. All the songs were amazing Slither, Fall To Pieces etc. It was also great to have some Guns N' Roses in there. Slash, Scott, Duff, Matt and Dave are rock GODS.

Thanks to scotsman: That was my third Velvet Revolver gig and my fifth time seeing Scott, twice with Stone Temple Pilots in 94 then 2001. What a show that was Velvet Revolver just seem to be getting better and better and Scott's just the ulimate rock god front man. Wish You Were Here blew my mind what a surprise, I was expecting it to finish after a few bars but the whole song was a tribute to Floyd. When STP came in 1994 the Scottish press never mentioned it, Velvet Revolver come in 2005 and there all over the press. Scott was as good to watch now as he was back in 1994, Velvet Revolver------ROCK-N-FUCKIN-ROLL

Thanks to Route66: Went to Velvet Revolver gig at SECC. Great gig as always but Scott was extremely pissed off at the press.

Some rough quotes from what I remember... so they are not exact.

"Some fuckers have been spreading lies about this band breaking up. Simply not fucking true. Frankly, if you guys keep showing up then so will we. These fuckers are made up of press, frustrated musicians and assholes. Don't believe anything you read about this band!"

"The press are a bunch of fucking asshole, cocksucking mosquitos.. etc etc"

I have NEVER seen Scott this angry before and certainly not for a whole show. This was how he started and he didn't stop. Towards the end he ranted for almost 10 minutes.

That's my 3rd Velvet Revolver show and I have to say the band looked more determined than ever to put on a great show and Scott in particular was keen to say that the band get along great and there are NO problems. I had a great time and I hope to see them again once the new album is out. Musically they were spot on and very tight as a band. Much tighter than the last show. However, I thought the sound system let the guys down. At times you couldn't make out the guitars but Scott's singing was really loud.

Scott also commented on how the Glasgow crowd are "always having a fucking party" and said "we love it here and we'll be back again".

Great band! I hope they go on to bigger things and I really wish the press would lay off them and stop being so fucked up and jealous.

Thanks to Iona Murphy: This is the second show I have reviewed and the progress is even better than last time! The audience really made it a great night, everyone was practically singing every chorus to every song! Biffy Clyro were fantastic but you could hardly hear the vocalist's voice, the Ga Gas were okay but were too noisy, in a bad way. Velvet Revolver blew them both away, more of the same, but just sounds better. Unfortunately, Slash hardly visible from where I was, but Duff was brilliant, he kept coming over to our side! I quite liked the fact the used the music from A Clockwork Orange as an intro, they obviously got the idea when David Bowie did the same during the Ziggy Stardust period. And indeed, Scott Weiland is definitely in the same league as Bowie as a performer! He knows how to get a crowd into a frenzy and with the Nazi uniform, he controls them. I am looking forward for new material, but it would be rather nice if they performed Loving The Alien live and some tracks from Scott's solo album. Jimmy Was A Stimulator and Desperation #5 are great songs! Go Velvet Revolver!

Thanks to Paul Markie: Slash, Duff, Matt, Scott, Dave! What can I say this was my third time watching you guys and you truely put on the most amazing show I have ever saw!! You guys fuking ROCKED!! Thanks alot!! Slash what can I not say about you? You're the fuking man a walking idol n hero Duff two! Matt drumming was amazing likes and Dave your such a talented guitarist! Scott your singing was 100% bang on and were a great entertainer! The support band the Ga Gas were brilliant and Biffy Clyro was awesome what a fucking night I had and I will always be going to see Velvet Revolver through the thick and thin of their career!! All the best guys for the future! Rock on rock out!

Thanks to Christine: It was fucking amazing!! The mosh pit was crazy as hell! They are so rock and fuckin' roll! m/ I got covered in Duff's beer!! I hope they play again soon cause am definately going to see them every single time they play in Scotland!

Thanks to Big_Yin: This show kicked ass! Scotts vocal's were perfect and the acoustics were much better than the first time they played. Every song was brilliant - my personal highlight being Wish You Were Here. Dave, Slash, Matt and Duff were all spot on too. Slash played his solos excellently and the whole band had Glasgow roaring. I can't wait till they come back.

Thanks guys.

Thanks to G: Absolutely incredible! This was my 3rd Velvet Revolver gig and it was the best by far! Right from the awesome opening of Sucker Train Blues, to the extended version of Slither at the end, this was true "rock 'n' fuckin' roll!" Everything from the stageshow, the lighting and the usually terrible SECC sound was fantastic. We managed to fight our way right down the front, where everyone went crazy during songs like Big Machine and Set Me Free. The mood was toned down perfectly by a brilliant version of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" followed by "You Got No Right". Was a little bit disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm for the Stone Temple Pilots songs, Crackerman and Sex Type Thing. We were singin like mad, while the majority of the crowd went silent. All in all though, absolutely amazing! Hurry back guys!!

Thanks to Aex Duncan: This was their best gig ever so much better than their last one at the SECC and they played their hearts out to the beloved Scottish fans. Myself being one of them thought the 10 min long speach about them NOT breaking up was amazing. Velvet Revolver will always have a home in Scotland 4 Rock And Fucking Roll.

If you have not seen them yet you have 2 go as fast as possible 2 go and get a motherfucking ticket.

Thanks to Dave Currie: What can I say!? This is the third time I have seen them in Glasgow and I think this is the best Scott's voice has been!! And that's saying something cause he has been awesome every time! The gig was the magic with the set list the same as previous times although with the added Pink Floyd track. I'll tell you what though...the God that is Weiland is mighty pissed off with the press!!!! He basically told us not to believe the stories about the band splitting up...though with a few added expletives!! To sum up...Scott...YOU ARE THE DADDY!!!

Thanks to Jamie: Overall it was a good show, but the quality of the sound was really disapointing. The support act (Biffy Clyro) were without vocals for their first song and the mic wasn't up high in the mix when they finally sorted the problem.

Velvet Revolver were rockin, but the mix was really rubbish. The vocals were good, but the guitars, particularly from Dave and Duff were down way too low - when the songs broke down and then kicked in again it just wasn't intense enough and was distoring occasionally. The SECC isn't a great venue and it really let Velvet Revolver down.

The best bits of the show were the quieter songs in the first encore - because the sound was alright for them - you could actually hear the instruments.

Looking forward to their return for a fourth time - but hopefully they'll get a better venue!

Thanks to Davie: Awesome! Can't believe they played a cover of Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. This was the third time I've saw the band and the second at this venue, which has notoriously bad sound. The overall sound was better, like, you could actually here Scott this time, maybe even sometimes he was too loud!! But a great gig from the best band in the world. Look out Download!

Thanks to Jade: This was my first fuckin rock concert (my age~12) and it was fuckin awesome. Even though we had to wait for the support band to get the hell out of there. Then this dude called Biffy Claro came (the special guest). Although some were fun to watch no one was moshing or moving.....which made me and probably others bored to hell and my feet killed!!!!!! lol Then Velvet Revolver's stuff took a bit to set up. But as soon as the lights went down and all you could hear was the start of Sucker Train Blues, the crowd went wild!! When I got to the front after much moshing. I could see perfectly the wonderful legend that is ..Slash. I mean the guy look incredebly cool..for most of this solos he was down the walkway which I was right in front off!! Slash also did this awesome mouth/guitar thing which was fun to watch, Slash's perfomence was undescribaly, as a Slashaholic I was incredlibly pleased..he is the legend. The other guys also went down this walkway, like Duff who at first when he came on to the front walkway look cool as fuck in the shadows and Scott he confirmed that the band were not breakin up and his voice was kickass he was awsome and so full of energy!!! Matt and Dave rocked too!! Velvet Revolver are the ultimate rock n roll band, they are just ROCK N FUCKIN ROLL!!!

Thanks to Tiny - Biffy Boy: Fuck me!!!

The Ga*Ga*s hit the stage with an energetic performance with the front man doing his best Axl Rose impersonations!!

Biffy Clyro!!! OH YEAH!! Bad sound hindered the first 2 songs but after that Biffy were immense!!

Vlevet Revolver!! Spectacular in every sense of the word, the solo off between Slash and Dave was amazing although they seemed more up for it in January covering Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here was the highlight of the night after the huge redention of Slither!

Thanks to Scooby: This show fucking rocked!! Just like back in January the Velvet Revolver boys rocked the entire SECC, just a shame about the poor support from Biffy Clyro who were terrible to be nice about it. Ga ga's weren't bad but just not my cup of tea!!!
