Thanks to Lerry: It was really top, it was the first time I saw Velvet Revolver live. I had been 4 times to a GN'R concert but without Axl it is even better. I live 2,5 hours from Nijmegen, but it was worth the trip. I LOVE Velvet Revolver

Thanks to Chanti: Hey all, I went to the festival especially for Velvet Revolver (ok and Rammstein, cuz I never saw them playing live). But as soon as I heard Velvet Revolver was gonna play again in Holland, I got my ticket. (First time I saw them was at the Lowlands Festival: Aaaaawesome!!!)
I've gotta say: they kicked ass! Though I have to admit they looked a bit tired. I really liked it, was singing loudly along with all the songs, having a great time.
I used to be a Gn'R-fan so this is now a perfect band for me (and Duff still looks great, hehehe). I also loved it when they played "It's so easy" and "Mr. Brownstone". Yeahhh!! I can't wait till they come to Holland again to play on their own instead on a festival! They could easily fill the HMH, I think...

Thanks to Yen: My main goal at Fields of Rock was to see Velvet Revolver, which of course I did. I was almost standing at the front, only two people were standing in front of me. I'd never seen them play live before. The show was really awesome! And I have to admit that Scott has really got beautiful eyes... :P:D I enjoyed every single second of their performance and I just can't wait to see them again! Scott has this really cool way of performing, how he moves around on the stage is really cool. At a certain point he jumped off the stage to the crwod and I was only a few feet away from reaching out to him!! At the beginning of Big Machine he was singing 'cause she says so' and he was makin eye contact with me, that's when I noticed his b-e-a-utiful eyes! What I noticed was that there were a lot of older guys (I guess around mid-thirty). I think me and my friend were like the youngest ones (both 16). Damn those guys should learn how to keep their hands to theirselves, everytime we walked to a different spot there were guys (big belly, big mouth, half drunken) they would grab us around our waists or grab your behind. Because I didn't wanna lose my friend in the huge crowd, we hold hands. Suddenly some guy stopped us and asked "hey, are you two a couple, like lesbian?" lol we just answered yeah we are. He was trying to keep us there and kept talking to us, but we were so thirsty we had to go get some drinks. By the way, we were kinda pissed they threw our water away at the entrance! I mean, it was just water! Beacause they threw it away we had to spend two euro's for one glass of water. I think I drank about eight glasses of water. I could've saved 16 euro's. That really sucked, I could've got a couple of CDs for that money. Ah well, seeing Velvet Revolver made it all good again. They rule!

Thanks to Paul: Just got back home from the festival (a 2-hour drive for me) and just as I expected. Velvet Revolver played the best gig of all the bands I came for (Machine Head, P. Roach, Sabbath, Helmet, Soulfly, Motorhead, Audioslave, Slayer: yeah great bill). Though Slash looked a bit tired and confused (he tripped over his own foot but didn't fall and he bumped his face against the mic when he introduced 'Set Me Free') the show was - once again - a great piece of rock n roll.

Stood right in front, couldn't hear Scott sing very well but that's no problem, cause I sang along with him haha. The guys really had problems with the sun shining right in their faces. Matt and Duff asked for a cap, Slash started with sunglasses on, but threw them away while playing. It was a 1 hour set with the following songs. I'm a little bit dissapointed they didn't play "Wish You Were Here".
That was it, see you next year with a bunch of new songs Velvet Revolver!!!

Thanks to John & Julie: We travelled to Holland from England to see Velvet Revolver. We saw the band 7 times when they were in the UK earlier this year & it certainly seemed as though they were a lot tighter as a band on stage. Slash looked very tired though & it did seem as though this gig was work for him as he didn't seem to enjoy it as much as the UK London gig's. Scott jumped into the crowd at one point which didn't seem to amuse Dave much. As whole the band were still very professional. It was strange to be a part of a crowd which didn't seen to be there to see Velvet Revolver. No one we spoke to had come to the festival to see Velvet Revolver unlike us. We are huge Velvet Revolver fans & loved every single second of the concert. My only complaint is the fact they only had an hour set!!!!
