Thanks to Kayleigh: I have been a dedicated fan of Slash since the age of 5. And after the performance at Hyde Park I have only gained respect for him and all the guys in the band, it was truly a performance that rocked the crowd to the core. And I'm sure I'm not alone in looking forward to the many more shows to come. Velvet Revolver 4EVA!!!

Thanks to Iona Murphy: It was my third time seeing them live and they never cease to amaze me. I was screaming like a little girl at a Beatles concert when Scott Weiland took his shirt off! The crowd were a bit tepid in response unfortunately, they were completely oblivious to the fact that Velvet Revolver are fucking amazing and history in the making. They should have played an old Guns N Roses song, just to keep the crowd happy, nothing cheesy like November Rain or Sweet Child O Mine, but something like Paradise City. But still, they were pretty bloody fantastic! Come back to Glasgow soon Velvet Revolver, I'm dying of boredom in kingdom of suburbia, ie East Kilbride!!

Thanks to Phil: I was sitting in the house having a few beers and watched the whole show. When Velvet Revolver came on they really shook things up. First time I heard them play, I was totally blown away.

Scott came on stage like a mixture of Iggy Pop, Sid Vicious and Mick Jagger all rolled into one, only a million times better.

Have bought their album and can't stop listening to it.

Thanks to Paul: OMG!!!! What a fuckin show Slither was fuckin amazing man words can not describe Velvet Revolver rule!!!!!! Bitchin

Thanks to Laura: Live 8 rocked. Velvet Revolver were amazing but I don't think the crowd knew what hit them. It was my first time seeing Velvet Revolver live and they really know how to make you go weak at the knees. The 3 songs were fantastic and Slither is a real classic to rock out to. I can't wait to see them again. They all looked amazing, especially Duff with his Sid Vicous t-shirt on. ROCK AND FUCKING ROLL!!!!!!

Thanks to Jay: This was my 5th time seeing the boys in action and they didn't disappoint! Although I was probably the only Velvet Revolver fan within a 100 meters judging by the strange looks I recieved when I shouted out the opening lines of to 'Do it for the kids' and hearing classic lines such as "Oh that's that guy with the top hat from that other band..." from the crowd! The audience didn't seem to realise that they were being entertained by true rock legends and myself being one of the handfull of people at the concert wearing my Velvet Revolver t-shirt being there purely to see Velvet Revolver. I felt that Velvet Revolver gave an excellent performance and allowed me to ring up my mates and say those immortal words "I Was There"!!!! Can't wait until the next tour!

Thanks to Magnus Johansen: They cancelled Norway and then I had to get my ass over to England. Decided on Thursday and left on Friday... went without tickets n' shit. I was extremely lucky and got general admission (the best I was hoping for was screen tickets hehe) so I was standing a few M from the fence (outside the golden circle).

Anyway; one thing was sad: it wasn't enough sound where I stood so the people around me didn't care too much. They continued talking n' shit. When Velvet Revolver is kicking ass they need fucking loud sound. Anyway they fucking rocked those who were interested (and that wasn't few) and the set couldn't have been better when only playing 3 songs. A newspaper said they were playing Sweet Child O' Mine... ha... fun. Well, they all were in great shape and I'm glad a had the chance to see them this year as well... but it's still sad that they cancelled those European gigs!

Hell............THEY ROCKED HYDE PARK!

Thanks to The Mercury Man: There are no words to describe the wasted beauty of this band...
Phenomenal performance, what a frontman the stuff legends are made of.

A fantastic night, when the stars shone bright.. thank you Velvet Revolver

Thanks to anonymous: Excellent show to say they only played 3 songs! The crowd didn't really like Velvet Revolver. They probably preffered rubbish like Snoop Dogg. Slash tried to get the crowd going by making a jesture with his hands. Do It For The Kids was an awesome way to start! Then FTP and then Slither which was fuckin brilliant!! Slash had his top hat on, fag in mouth and leathers on soon as Velvet Revolver came on he played his solo at front on FTP! After Slither he thanked the crowd then got his fags and walked off. The rest of the band were on top form! Scott was mint to say he sprained his ankle!!! Rock hard ride free Velvet Revolver come to Manchester.

Thanks to Luke Smith: Velvet Revolver injected just what was needed into the Live 8 gig in London. Some Rock and Fucking Roll!!! The English crowd being more reserved didn't know what hit them, it was hillarious! As soon as the first few bars of "Do It For The Kids" came on me and my mates were off our seats and kicking ass!!! An absolutely amazing set and showed Velvet Revolver truly are the best band in the world at the moment.

Their set was one of the highlights of the day (the other being the return of Pink Floyd!!!!!!) and can't wait to see Velvet Revolver for the third time live next time they play the UK!

Thanks to Chris Buck: After witnessing Velvet Revolver's performance in Hyde Park, I was and am, still completely lost for words! They were the reason I spent about £15 on text messages. They were the reason I travelled over 200 miles to get to Hyde Park, and well, I was not disappointed! After opening up with a superb performance of ' Do It For The Kids', it set the quality mark at such a high level that the rest of their set would have to blow Hyde Park's mind. (And it did!)

'Fall To Pieces' followed and with Slash's stagecraft ability on overdrive, the band had the crowd in the palm of their hand. Either Slash is a natural gymnast, or he had practiced it beforehand, but that leap from the stage to lower level was not the jump of an aging rock star!
When the time came around for their last song, the crowd were eager for more! After a tension-building intro to 'Slither', when the time came for that immortal riff to start blasting out of Slash's Marshall stack, the crowd was ready to rock.

Slash's solo, Scott's agony driven vocals, Duff's powerful baseline, Dave's heavy riffing and Matt's pounding beat provided the perfect end to a perfect set! Overall, a truly great rock n' roll performance! Made somewhat better by learning that Scott provided Hyde Park with such a blistering performance on the equivalent to a broken ankle!

Thanks to Greg: Bloody great show. I loved it when Scott got the crowd going the atmosphere was smashing.

Thanks to Lloyd Jones: Amazing!

Truly a good show, with three well chosen, rocking songs.

Do It For The Kids opened, Fall To Pieces then kicked in, which was great, then all finished with an extra long version of Slither!

Thanks to Paul: My first encounter with Velvet Revolver. BLEW ME AWAY. I am now a fan they were fucking awesome....total rock & roll.
