Thanks to Wiggity: Saw at Turning Stone, one of their first shows I think, awesome, awesome performance. Not very many people, but VR was great, very tight. Played It's so Easy and Mr. Brownstone. And STP tunes, Vaseline and Sex Type Thing... much better than STP!! No Slash solo??? Gonna go catch 'em again in Buffalo.

Thanks to Sobergambler67: Great show for all the sober gamblers at Turning Stone! LOL. I'd been looking forward to this for weeks, and I wasn't disappointed! I was, however, surprised that it wasn't a capacity crowd. Oh well, sucks for the ones that missed out. This was an outstanding show supporting one of the best rock albums I've heard in years. Opened with "Let it Roll" and never let up, covering plenty of material from both VR releases. Cover of "Wish You Were Here" was a very cool bonus. "Brownstone" & "It's So Easy", and "Vasoline" & "Sex Type Thing" pulled from the GN'R & STP catalogs respectively, were good calls IMO. They work well with the feel of the VR material. I know I'm going to be looking to catch another date somewhere soon. Cheers. SG67

Thanks to CJ: VR kicked ass, even though the venue sucked. Turning Stone Casino had no booze policy ... Scott said "Hey all you sober gamblin mother fuckers!" ... The shitty turn out had to be a real downer for the band ... but they showed up anyway.

On the downside, there wasn't a warm-up band ... VR came on at 8:15 pm and played for an hour an a half. One encore and the show was over.

Thanks to Slashfan1: I was sadly disappointed at the poor turnout at the Verona Velvet Revolver concert. I am certain the band was disappointed with the lack of enthusiam the few people there showed until the last 45 minutes of the show. I've never seen such a dead concert crowd in all my 45 years!!! It was like a zombie crowd...no one moving, no one clapping, no one dancing. However, the band played their hearts out despite the dead crowd. Are all concerts at Turning Stone like this? Only one concession stand, and one t-shirt vendor? How weird is this at a beautiful, modern facility such as this? I just don't get it. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks to Wakeview: The band sounded great. The best I have seen slash, he looks good and was dead on.They scammed us when we got there and they said alice and chains in not on this leg of the tour. All in all great show.

Thanks to Mestfool: Just got back from the show... got there about 30 mins late and walked in at the time she was mine got over with.. a few thoughts on tonights show...

1. Venue - Turning stone is a cool place for hanging out and gambling but for concerts it sucks...the security is way up tight, you couldnt even take a picture with your cell phone let alone a camera PLUS they just banned the booze rule, they dont sell it 1st of all, you useto be able to bring it in but now they wont even let you do that.

2. Crowd - Holy shit was it me or was this place half empty??? besides the floor being packed and with seats which sucked ass, the back and sides were empty, i saw Kid rock there a couple of years ago and it was packed... maybe because it was a Monday night but shit i thought there would be a lot more people

After the show went out back to try to get a meet and greet but was told to leave by turning stone security because the whole back was a 'restricted area' which i think was bullshit because just 1 month ago, i saw Staind at the same place and was able to hang out back with no problem....
any1 have any luck meeting them before or after the show???
